It appears as though the gear spacing and angle are slightly different on the mz6 gear box from looking at those pictures. It actually more closely resembles the older H series gear box which was way more durable.

They are cable driven on the protege. one cable connects to a flapper right above the driver side pedal and the other connects behind the glove box to the left.

I know the mount at the firewall is them same, the mount at the frame rail is different and will not work, the front mount should work as long as you have the right bracket bolted to the trans.

Make sure you remove the spacer on the crankshaft behind the flexplate when you get it off. That will cause nothing but problems with a 5 speed flywheel if left on.

You've been warned. Those transmissions are JUNK. I've had low mileage jdm transmissions go out in 6 months or less, and rebuilds sometimes seem to have a worse failure rate.

Im running an SR20 t25 as well, but I put the msp compressor housing on the nissan turbo. It fits fine as long as your nissan is an a/r .80. This way no additional adapters are needed.
