Driving home and noticed the the battery indicator was lit and immediately swung eyes around all the dash indicators to see the temp gauge moving to the top!? (shocked) Pulled into the driveway and popped the hood to see the coolant reservoir boiling (FML); checking the engine bay to find out...

Had the local Sears shop replace the 14 month old Die Hard Gold battery that was venting and had 'oozed' into the battery tray and over my drivers side front motor mount. Also fixed the Kenwood stereo as well using the links in the Audio/Electronics section of the board...

What's got two thumbs and just brought a semi dead KDC-MP919 back to life....(2thumbs).. this guy! Used all this info on the board for replacing the ribbon cable and now my stocker HU lives again. It's been solid for 9 years and I'm content to keep it for as long as possible.

Rolled through the 40k mile mark and maintenance benchmarks to get done. Had the coolant system flushed, oil changed, cleaned the K&N air filter, rotated tires, wash/detail and vacuumed interior. The scrubbing bubbles for the engine bay is a great tip for cleaning but S100 Total Cycle Cleaner...
