I'll have to check my maf because I just replaced an 02 sensor about 5 months ago and replaced the other one last week

Maf is fine, it only cuts off after its warmed up, runs fine when it's cold

Cleaned my egr and car still won't idle, it idles for a split second, then dies. It also won't start up immediately after it dies, I have to let it sit for a little but then it'll start back up

And it's not throwing any codes either, I'll clean the egr to and see if that helps

I'll take it off and clean it and see if that helps, I took my tps off and cleaned it thinking that might be it but it wasn't

Can't figure out what's wrong with the car this time, it runs perfect no problem but it won't idle when it warms up, It idles fine when it's cold. Everytime I come to a stop sign/light it cuts off if i don't keep my foot on the gas. And it don't hesitate or anything, just idles down then cuts off

The car is back on the road! Having some troubles wih it idling but I think I know what the problem is, going to take a closer look at it tomorrow

Figured out my idling problem, kinda. My throttle cable was bent all the wrong way and messing up my idle. It runs fine going down the road now but when I stop my car cuts off, I think it still has something to do with the throttle cable

Yea I've got an oil pressure gauge, so that plug is for the oil pressure light?

Funny you say that... Looked over everything last night and found this wire not plugged in, it comes out of the wire harness with the wires for the alternator, I looked all over and can't find out where it goes. It's a green wire with a red stripe on it

Finally got everything together and started the car up tonight, engine bay caught fire... But it was a minor problem, had a gas line that wasn't tightened down. Fixed it then started it up again and no fire this time! But it's not idling right, it jumps around then goes up to 3k rmp's and stays...

Ok so in other words switch both of my cam gears to the other notch according to the picture I put up? I keep hearing different things about the position of these.

Nwvermind. Figured it out, both cam gears have to be in the same notch but it don't matter which one, as long as they are both the same

Ok I wasn't thinking when I was disassembleing the motor and didn't look as to what notches these were supposed to be on.. Can someone tell me if I got them right or not?

Getting closer to dropping the motor back in the car

Yeah I'm not sure if it'd fit either, the only way to find out is try haha Went to Mazda today and ordered the rest of the parts I needed to swap motors. Should be here by the beginning of next week, I'm still transferring parts over from the old motor. Hopefully by next weekend it'll be back...
