    2017 DRL/signal light emulation

This is something I have yet to see on the CX-5 here in Aus. ie. do the headlights come on together with the DRLs and whether the DRLs turn off when indicator signals are flashing. In the CX-9, the signature DRLs do turn off on the side where the signal indicators are on and the headlights don't...

    2017 CX-5: Initial Review

Quite surprised at this and pretty cool its now available here in AUS albeit in the higher spec models I believe.

    2017 CX-5: Initial Review

Yes pretty sure you are well aware that to get all the safety tech which the CX-5 have such as RCTA, BSM, MRCC, LDW, Adaptive LEDs etc, you would have to add $20k (AUD) more on top of your already expensive BMW, Merc or Audi. Quite impressed with the safety features the CX-5 comes with at it's...

Mazda CX-5 Ride & Drive Event in Dallas

The whole idea of the new gen CX-5 is that they didn't want to mess around too much with the overall dimensions due to its global success which is a good thing. Just a few tweaks here and there, the platform is the same as before evident by the fact that with the differences in height and ground...

Mazda CX-5 Ride & Drive Event in Dallas

Despite much mention of the CX-5 being around 35mm lower, specs list that the new CX-5 has now 185mm laden of ground clearance as opposed to 150mm laden in the previous model. This suggests to me you're sitting higher up in the new CX-5 and why the 19" inch wheels don't fill out the wheel arches...

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

I don't know about the CR-V but thats how lane-keep assist is supposed to work in the CX-5, it's only meant to slightly correct the steering to get your attention so you gain complete control of your vehicle. It's not meant to be a self-steer car. Personally I rather have complete control of the...

    Bought a 2014 CX-5

Most of the concerns listed are genuine though interior lights are fine. 2 up front and 2 in the rear are plenty. As for the cargo light, I only recently realised you can leave it switched on so the cargo area is automatically lit when opened in the dark. I believe it turns off once the boot is...

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

I am not talking about how fast it goes and I wasn't even talking about the no. of cylinders.

Help Me Decide: CX-5 vs. CR-V

Yes, despite it having a Turbo to boost its power and torque, I just can't bring myself to having a 1.5L engine trying to haul a vehicle of that size. It definitely needs to work more throughout its life compared to a larger capacity NA engine. If it was at least a 2.0L Turbo then maybe.

Soul Red Crystal or Machine Grey

Soul Red Crystal on the 2017 model totally different to the previous gen Soul Red. It has some fancy 3 layer coating of some sort so the colour is richer under light as well as in the dark. Deeper saturation on the new Soul Red. My pick would be Machine Grey due to personal preference. Soul Red...

Very nice. That color would be my choice too. Those wheels actually suit the Machine Grey. Gorgeous.

Well this time, looks like its for real guys

Just flicked through some old articles where the diesel is quicker to 100km than the Petrol 2.5L so I wouldn't put it pass you. Seems to be opposing results from different tests and conditions. Personally I feel they're pretty much on par but rolling the Diesel easily faster.

You may be right, I'll take your word for it. That's still 4 out 5 variants its available in.

Well this time, looks like its for real guys

Most tests I've seen had the Diesel slower to 60mph by about .5 sec. (from a standstill) The Petrol has the edge on initial throttle response from a standstill but on the move, ie. rolling acceleration, and when fully laden, the Diesel is superior. Remember you may not need to get a fully...

    Fit and finish

That doesn't look right. I'd take it back to the dealer and compare with other CX-5s at the dealership and get them to sort it out.

    New Wheels for the CX-5!

Nice. Always wanted these gunmetal grey Mazda6 wheels as an alternative. They are hard to source second hand as most won't want to part with them evident by its gorgeous design and finish. You got a steal. These OEM wheels would cost a fair bit from Mazda dealers.

    2017 CX-5 Pics Thread

Interesting they've dropped this perhaps due to the new system on each wheel as seen above. All previous-gen models had TPSM here in Oz. What is interesting is Australia has a Touring model with the flip-top HUD as in current Mazda3s etc and only GT and above get windscreen HUD.
