replaced my twice over broken drivers side mirror... thank you junk yard 03 wrecked blue protege5 that someone stripped but left the drivers mirror :)

mine was same code, and the coil plug for cylinder 3 was semi melted.. replaced and Ahhh brand new and code cleared :)

so silly me, when i put engine back together i put the vac hose from booster to intake backwards.. i just flipped it now and the brakes work fine... feewwww

After months on the engine, got it put together and now my new issue is my brakes... The car will stop but after i smash the brakes and let it hit the floor slowly then the car comes to a stop. I bled the lines and still fine. any ideas?

replaced all the belts, put passanger tires back on. lowered her off the jack stands and drove her for once in 4 months to gas station for a nice 93 octane fill up :). still a few more things to finish but she runs again!

started her up today, ran for about 5 min, then SNap... alternator belt broke. :(

ok got the bolts to cooperate this time, so heads installed, cam and brackets properly bolted down, intake mani fuel rail on, exhaust manifold and coolant lines on. Timing belt, throttle body and egr pipe are left. (i need to i guess bend or make a new egr pipe, the one that came with the 626...

was walking around the car to grab more tools and knocked my drivers side mirror clean off..... more stuff to fix

actually they have been soaking in both since saturday :) and ya i need to invest in a dremel!

yes brand new OEM head bolts. the 2nd time it broke i set the torque wrench to 7 ft lbs. so maybe its just set high.. i like the idea of hand tighten and i did read about turning the bolts once 90 degree and then start over and do again at 90 degrees. I might try again today. i did order some...

tis my same thought. idk how else to go about this... without having a licensed mechanic do it and charge me crazy to do so.

should i just get the ARP studs for the head? dont really want to go through stock bolts breaking again because torque wrench i had was tested and is fine.

my "borrowed" torque wrench must be way off.

everything was going good on the reinstall of the cylinder head and intake mani... until i noticed my breaker bar wasnt "clicking" at the recommended 13-16 ft lbs... and SNAP ended up breaking 2 head bolts....and 2 hrs later the broken pieces are out... now to figure out wtf.

degreased and sanded my IC pipes and CAI pipes to repaint... hopefully tomorrow i get the new intake mani and cylinder head installed.
