Mazda Parts you can get cheaper than at the dealer thread

I don't think anything can top the SD card. At $26 vs $400 The Mazda part is 15.4x more expensive! 2019 Mazda CX-5 Navigation SD Card - BHP166EZ1N - Genuine Mazda Accessory https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C53K1QFM/

Mazda Parts you can get cheaper than at the dealer thread

I've purchased some OEM Mazda parts through eBay; there are some Mazda dealers that sell on there for a better price than retail. But some parts are completely identical, like the NGK spark plugs and the belt tensioner, and marked up double or more.

That's true but not a big deal. You can still buy 9 more before you break even. I'm still running maps from 2019. Newly ordered cards will have maps from 2022, that's new enough. ;)

Mazda Parts you can get cheaper than at the dealer thread

Per discussion here, What have you done to your CX-5 today? I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread that lists all the parts you can get cheaper than at the dealer. Spark plug: NGK ILKAR711 vs PE5R-18-110/PE5R-18-110A. These are the exact same spark plugs. These are less than half...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

It would be great to have a post that lists all the parts you can get cheaper from the manufacturer, like the NGK ILKAR7L11 spark plugs that are less than half the price of the Mazda branded part. https://mazdas247.com/forum/t/ngk-spark-plug-ilkar7l11-long-term-usage.123878882/

Some info, Mazda states that you can use 10W-40 or 10W-50 in the first gen. https://owners-manual.mazda.com/gen/en/cx-5/cx-5_8dw2eo14k/contents/07030400.html Mazda rates the 2nd gen up to 5W-30 or 10W-30.

Thanks for providing your experience. I buy my oil and filters on Amazon so there are no worries.

I just don't get the view how this is somehow a scary problem. If you somehow, really, actually needed to, you could change your oil back to 0W-20. You don't have to do any or all service at a dealer. I have 1 year left on the powertrain warranty. I'd still make this upgrade day 1.

Time for an oil change soon. I will definitely stick with 5W-30, it provides a better driving experience. You can't hear the sound of the engine over the sound of the tires most of the time. This is a day one upgrade in my opinion.

Cool, if the deal is fair I can see doing the switch. Enjoy the new car.

2023 CX-5 Turbo vs Premium Plus

Unless you're getting a really good deal, or have a lot of miles on your '21, why not keep the 2021 Turbo? How much is the change going to cost? It's the same car. If you will stay within the 5 year 60K powertrain warranty, I would consider keeping your current CX-5 a while longer.

I want to buy a 2023 CX-5. What are the major issues?

It's important to note that the Toyota RAV4, the world's most reliable SUV, doesn't have any engine problems whatsoever. https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2019/MAZDA/CX-5/SUV/AWD https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2019/TOYOTA/RAV4/SUV/AWD

Mazda corporate is terrible, why do people always recommend to contact them?

It's that annoying drivetrain sound starting at 13:08 and recurring at random times. I've driven a Lexus RX hybrid that didn't make that annoying sound. I would find that noise really aggravating. Also a lot of road and tire noise at highway speeds. I was checking it out out of curiosity because...
