Thanks all for the support and complements! :) This evening, I finished up the wiring and tidied it all up. This includes finishing the driver's switch panel. The car now starts at the push of a button (as opposed to touching two wires together :) )

Bank 1 does not mean fuel injector #1 is at fault. You likely have a vacuum leak somewhere.

There is a blue box under the driver's side dash with two harnesses leading into it. Simply unplug the two harnesses and the airbag light will remain on (steadily). At this point, you can remove the bulb from the cluster. If you simply remove the bulb without disconnecting the controller, it...

Or you could just unplug the two connectors that are attached to the blue airbag controller under the dash (in addition to removing the bulb) and all will be well.

There are 4 nuts on the back of the steering wheel that support the airbag. Remove said nuts and the airbag module will come out. Disconnect the blue and orange connectors and you're done.
