20 years ago, my in-laws owned a station wagon. They werent hit, but had to stop suddenly and my 10 year old brother-n-law who was in the back ended up in the front seat. Even after that, they didnt insist that the kid had to buckle up.

If you use ramps, isn*t the car angled the wrong way to drain the oil? I*m asking out of ignorance, not because I know better. And do you have to remove an underside cladding to get to the drain plug and filter?

There are also kits you can buy at stores like Home Depot to detect carbon monoxide if you want to check it,out yourself. I have no idea how accurate they are and definitely recommend you get it checked out at the dealer.

This doesn*t explain the ear popping but maybe check for exhaust leaks that might be allowing carbon monoxide to enter the cabin?

I*m not sure what the controls looks like, but if the buttons for the memory settings are not on the seat itself, but on the dash or door, then it would be more complicated to retrofit.
