Got the amp hooked up. The MB Quarts haven't come in yet so I still have the stock rears and some alpine 6 1/2" type R components in the front. I'm hesitant to turn up the amp because the speakers aren't rated that high. Sounds ok...but I anxiously await the MB's. The sub is LOUD! It's a 10w6v2...

Well, i'm on my way. I did the wiring last night. 4 Gauge power wire from the battery to the trunk. What a pain going through the small rubber boot through the firewall!! I ran the power wire along the passenger side door sills and the 3 sets of RCA's, 9-in-1 speaker wire and CD Changer cable...

I've had a few different front 6 1/2" separates in the past, JBL, Boston Acoustics, and I've always thought they lacked mid bass. I've always had them amped well and with a sub. I think i'm going to go with the 5x7's. I'm sure they will be fine and the possibility of having more midbass than 6...

That's what I thought too about the oval speakers. However, the local JL dealer said they are not worse than the rounds at all. What don't you like about the XR series? The JL dealer thought the MB Quart's were better than the JL's. I just can't make up my mind!

I just bought mine last month... 2002.5, sunroof, polished wheels, 6disc, 29k, excellent condition. I paid 10,800 in Virginia for it and am VERY happy with it! I'll add pictures to my sig soon.

kenwood makes a double din screen and you can get nav for it too. I'm looking to get it for my P5. Not 100% sure it fits, but I don't see why not. I think it's the kenwood ddx-7015 or something. look on ebay..about $900.

I disagree with most of you. My experience of kenwood is all positive. I have had 3 different head units (sold car with it in) and many amps. Good value for money and never had a problem. Now I have an excelon 859 HU, x650D 5 channel amp, excelon 10 disc changer, another regular kenwood 10 disc...
