There was someone on the wheel & tire picture thread that was running a 9.5 wide rear wheel (45mm offset) with 275 mm tires and no fitment issues. Guess the extra 1/2 of wheel width and even more so the +7.5mm offset are what made this a no-go.
Oh well...have a pretty good idea what direction...
Always liked those andros wheels and briefly looked for some replicas in 5x114 with no success. Not sure Id ever use wobble bolts though...seem a bit sketchy
Not gonna lie...actually thought about doing this. Not the mas grill on Mazda (hilarious btw), but Maserati wheels also have a 5x114 BP and 67.1 CB so they would fit with proper width and offset. Just didnt like any of the Maserati wheels styles. I really like the five-loop Alfa wheels but...
Not that there is something inherently wrong with hub centric spacers, Im just not a fan. Years ago I had some s600 forged wheels on an e320 with some h&r 10mm hub centric spacers. On one occasion while getting a rotation, one of the spacers stayed on the hub and the other on the wheel. When I...
Came across a good deal on some staggered 5-spoke 19s from a late model Ferrari California, and figured Id try them out on my ladys 19 cx5 awd touring. Neat thing about late model Ferrari wheels (458/California/612/etc) is that they share the exact same bolt pattern & centerbore as the cx5 and...
Only get it changed at the dealer...its too cheap to do myself. They charge less than $30 including filter if I bring in my own 5qt jug of oil, and that includes inspection, wash, and vacuum. Hard to beat...
Dont know about bigger tires, but heres what shares bolt pattern & centerbore with our cars

Got some staggered Ferrari 19s to try on our cx5...not sure yet if the 10 rears will fit
I was to go with 7500 intervals until I found out the cylinder deactivation was oil-pressure based. Given the possibility of fuel dilution with DI, which could then affect oil pressure if thinned out, decided to shorten intervals to 5k. Figure its cheap insurance
Glad to hear youre liking the...
With direct injection and only a 5qt sump, Im personally not going over 5k intervals. DI can be very hard on oil...and with the cheap synthetic 0w20s out there with d1g2 approval, why risk it?
For reference I usually go 7500-10k miles on most vehicles with larger oil capacity, no direct...
Idemitsu Zepro 0w20 moly is supposed to be the same oil as Mazda Moly, and its cheaper in a 5 qt jugs on amazon...or at least it was when I bought it for the last change a few weeks ago. Next change is going to be Castrol edge 0w20 bc its what I got. Other OTC oils that are said to be higher in...
Havent had any pain caused by the seats in our 19 touring, but they arent particularly comfortable. I feel like the cushioning on the middle of the seat (under-butt) is a bit softer, but thigh bolsters are harder, and the seat bottom is somewhat short.
Wouldnt mind swapping them out at some...
Didnt use online calculator...going off published diameter from manufacturer. The combo above is within 0.1 of each other. 235/55 and 255/50 are equally close, but 255 is too narrow for a 10 wheel. 235/55 and 265/50 is about 0.3 difference but again 265/50 is only allowed a maximum 9.5 wide wheel.
Went ahead and bought some wheels for our 19 awd touring that seemed too cool at the time, but am running into some tire size issues. Set is staggered and rears are 19x10, so it appears my only tire choices to keep same diameter all around would be 245/50/19 up front and 275/45/19 in back...
19 touring awd w/5k miles mostly rural, some city some freeway
Best tank so far - 29.7
Worst tank - about 26
Best trip (highway with active cruise) - 35.3
Worst trip around town - about 20 mpg
Total average since purchase 27.7
All as per trip computer, but I did hand calculate a few tanks and...
Took in our 19 today for oil change and recall...only took about 1.5 hrs for both, along with wash and vacuum. Trip computer was reset. Engine/power characteristics havent changed at all. If anything running a touch smoother on the fresh Zepro high/moly oil (supposedly same as Mazda moly oil)...
Not a big fan of spacers and centering rings if I can help it. Surprisingly enough, there are some pretty cool factory wheels out there with the same bolt pattern, centerbore, and similar offsets to the cx5 (lancer evo, Maserati, Ferrari, etc)
