On topic: I am going corksport TBE w/Hiflow cat as one of my next mods. But it is my understanding you'll need a tune after the dp upgrade...so set aside some money for that too.
I don't want anything above 18psi so I'm doing tbe, bc, and protune. it will be a lot of money (compared to just an...
I ran a solstice gxp with a 29psi tune and it was pretty much even. All I have is cobb intake and AP w/ ots map. So I'd say stock to stock you'd win, esp against a gtp gp
start up
brrrrdummm.. burble burble bummmmmm
some stick to idle
baaah-psssshhhh(simultaneous with baah)-pssscheh-bummmm(build to let off to idle)
yea. that's right. i went there.
also it's nearly three am.
did the AP save the factory ECU setting when you installed the first map? idk but it sounds like the ap flashed the factory settings but didn't save them. Then when you unmarried the AP, the ECU was essentially a blank slate...I have no idea what I'm talking about. lol
well that eases my mind a bit. I am at cobb intake/forge bpv/cobb ap (stage 1SF 93...etc)...and I'm a scaredy cat. This definitely helps me hold off on the TBE...
It seems every time I read a mod thread I buy a part and every time I read a blown thread I regret it. SCAREDY CAT MOD FTW!
This couldn't have come at a better time (for me, selfishly). I will be running everything as you except a Cobb SRI (Cobb SRI, same map, forge BPV). I know every car is different, but to me (who admittedly knows nothing) I don't see any red flags.
have but not installed: TRZ RMM (poly)
in mail: Cobb AP, Cobb SRI
On the fence on: TBE/Protune, Forge BPV. I've got plenty of warranty left so will likely wait for the TBE...although every 3 days or so I'll convince myself to do the opposite of what I've just decided I'm sticking with...
well i'm probably blacklisted cuz my phone died when we were talking about mods and routes to go and all sorts of stuff and he probably thinks I hung up on him haha
when I call to order parts they'll be all..."I have your account up right here...oh...I see..."
according to guy on phone they...
Let me start by saying it is redonkulously hard to find a Cobb intake right now. At least I'm on a list at SU for either the Cobb or the latest thing they are testing (which I am actually going to get. I am happy about that. They said the new intake is awesome)...I digress..
Prior to calling SU...
Doesn't seem all that safe if you can't punch it below 3500. I would hope these cars could handle a bit more than a stage 1 map for just an intake before you have to "worry" about popping the engine by going WOT 2k below peak.
I am buying an AP next week and will be running the very same map...
That's awesome. I just didn't want to drop the money for an AP when all I really want is a really good dyno tune. thanks!
Jorge must be legendary lol. there are people that know him (and his good work) from all over. Another forum I am on has a NC subie guy mentioning him and that he does good...
Not to Pan Am 103 this thing - but the same thing may happen to me under different circumstances; I have zero mods right now and it occurs under very light load (3k or under). Cruising in 6th and maintaining constant speeds between 60-75 (but sometimes it happens at slower speeds). my foot...
