For what its worth, I think the Mazda Connected services that offered traffic data in other markets required Wifi anyway. Our cars don't have any type of data connection, so the best it can do for traffic is to use the HD Radio traffic, which isn't great...

Fine print at the bottom of the brochure: Even with traffic, the NAV would still suck though.

It looks like both smart city breaking and smart breaking use a combination of sensors in in the front (behind mazda logo and top of windshield). Smart breaking uses the addition of a camera in the windshield on activsense models.

By both, I assume you mean activsense versus smart city? I think activsense builds on smart city support. They both use the radar behind the mazda logo, but activsense adds the laser on the top of the windshield. I could be wrong.

I have already bought so many different things for this car that I think my wife might kill me if I spent 44 dollars on two of these. But its bothering me enough that I will need to do it at some point, maybe next month. :)

I completely forgot that I had emailed mazda about the changes in 2016 and this was there response: not a lot of info.

Does anyone know if the cx-5 has the hardware to support adding the factory sub from one of the other models? I would guess that there isn't a wire running to the back, but I would be surprised if the hardware in the front was totally different from the cx-3, 6 or cx-9.
