First Time Mazda Owner Question For Long Time Owners

119K trouble free miles on our 2016 CX5 GT. Other than normal maintenance items have never put a dime into it. Still runs and drives great. I haven't taken it in for the headlight recall since my daylight running lights still work great. Maybe someday.

225/55R19 Tire Comparison Table for CX-5 GT - Many to Choose From

Found the reason why. On the Mazda they are True Contact not Cross Contact. Still very happy with them.

225/55R19 Tire Comparison Table for CX-5 GT - Many to Choose From

No idea. I just looked at the sidewall and didn't see either LX20 or LX25 marked on it. It's possible it's on the inside of the tire though.

225/55R19 Tire Comparison Table for CX-5 GT - Many to Choose From

I've got a set of Continental Cross contacts on our CX-5. Very happy with them so far. I have 18,000 miles on the set and they are quiet, grip and handle well. No complaints about them at all.

Transmission fluid change without filter replacement

I did a drain and fill at 50 and 75K miles. At 110K I dropped the pan, replaced the filter and refilled. On the basic drain and fills I got maybe 4 quarts max. On the pan drop it was closer to six. The car now has 118K miles o it.

2013~2016 CX-5 reliability, I want to purchase one

Our 2016 GT now has 118K trouble free miles on it. Other than maintenance and a couple recalls it has been rock solid. It still drives and handles great too.

Anyone consider a used Luxury SUV for the price of a new CX-5?

In the past we've owned 2 BMW 335i's and one 535i. At around 70K miles if you keep them that long be prepared to get your wallet out often and pay a lot. Our neighbor has an Audi A5 and it's even worse. Our 2016 CX5 GT has over 117K miles on it. Other than maintenance items haven't put a dime...

I agree. Mercedes is overpriced, expensive to fix and trouble prone as they age.

    Mileage Too High?

As some others have said a lot depends on the maintenance the car received before. Our 2016 GT now has 117K miles with 80% being highway. It still drives and feels very solid. I have done all the maintenance myself including oil changes every 5K, 3 transmission drain and fills with the last...

    Pcv valve 2017 2.5L

I've heard it's under the intake manifold. Don't ask me why it wasn't placed on top of the valve cover or some more accessible place. There is actually what appears to be a foam piece under my intake manifold. Haven't taken it off to look yet.

How long did your brake pads last?

I put the Autozone ceramic pads on my son's 2009 Altima. They are quiet and stop just fine. It's only been 5,000 miles or so but am considering them for our CX-5 when the time comes.

From my gut feeling it sure seemed like our 2014 touring accelerated faster than our 2016 GT.

Sometimes ours work fine and other times they flicker on and off. Glad to see they are recalling them.

    Anyone replace PCV valve?

Haven't touched it on our 2016 CX5 with 117K miles. Our car is still running fine. I would have cleaned or replaced it by now except for what you posted.

    This happen to anyone's CX-5??

Our 2016 GT has the same issue. We're at 117K miles so we're just living with it.

High Mileage CX-5s - report in

To replace the transmission filter yes you have to drop the pan. I think I ordered the filter from Rock Auto and it came with a new gasket. Just make sure you scrape away all the old RTV first. The fluid was actually fairly dark. I don't know if this really indicates anything or not. When I did...
