i may have missed it, but what engine management are you using to accomplish this feat?
before you even answer I'm sure you realize it would be impossible otherwise.
i wont join the "zoom zoom boom" bandwagon, i'm just waiting for the rod knock.
meth injection is going to add some serious mass to your charge air. Just don't forget FS rods don't like torque, I wouldn't use meth from too low of an RPM if I were you.
Good luck keep up posted.
yes, i've ***** a couple rsx's, & tsx's at 4psi. but anyways
One of my best friends has an 02 RSX S, and he spent about 3K on a Cybernation turbo kit and just recently dynoed at 366hp@9-9.5psi.
they're really neat cars, i'd drive one.
Well if your interested I am selling a set of Wiseco 9.0:1 pistons. but as gone_fishin stated to run that amount of boost you have alot more supporting mods to buy before you start worrying about internals.
People have run as much as 22psi on the stock pistons. However should the the car run lean, or detonate, the stock pistons will be as good as scrap.
edit: the ideal compression for a daily driven 17-20psi FS-DE engine would be 8.5:1 as opposed to the stock 9.1:1. It can be done with some tuning...
the noise almost isn't worth the gain. the whole car vibrates when you have an open downpipe. the cool thing is now it will sound like a 500hp drag car, but the downside is it will sound like a 500hp drag car all the time.
IMO, balance shafts are not something to be tinkered with unless your planning on balancing the reciprocating assembly.
I only say that because 2.0L eclipses used to have problems with this, removing the shafts without balancing the internals and then getting slight vibrations or other noises...
I was under the impression the emanaged worked, but sporadically. IIRC it would need to be tweaked often as the stock computer tried to outlearn its tune. and i thought ppl that did have an emanage, where only using it to control fuel.
100K is alot of miles, considering the average miles per year is about12-15k. 6 and half years is more than enough for 400hp daily driven car, i doubt anyone would complain.
the drivetrain will be more of a driver thing.
I've heard it recirculated and was very dissappointed. Its very quiet, its just the sound of rushing air really. I ran mine without the fins for a while and its amazing what a difference it made.
