my head unit goes stupid loud when i get it to 35 ... 34 is quite quiet, but then again my ALC is on 3 and i have 2 12 inch Alpine Type R's in my trunk...

I have had that happen. I run 2 12's and and amp on my stock HU with a manual controller ... i found that if you turn down your volume (both on the sub control and the radio) it doesn't make that sound or if it does its really quiet ... i think its something we are just going to have to live...

what was the install like? how long did it take?

ya it does sound pretty darn good, although with the stock HU and what have you its not as loud as it could be, which is probably a good thing =)

same here ... and holy s*** was it stiff ... i let it run for a half hour and it still felt like i had no power steering and the clutch was harder than hell.
