If you NEVER change the fluid eventually you might have rust in the brake lines and cylinders, but it takes years for that to happen. I've heard it's best to change it every two years, but I think your local climate has some influence on how fast brake fluid degrades.

The cylinder head on the 2.5 engines is a different cylinder head than the 2.0L. The 2.5 cylinder head has thinner castings.

Be sure and use the proper CD-diesel rated oils. I sometimes change my oil with less than 2000 miles on it, for other reasons.

It's small but I have never heard of one completely filling up with crud, so the small size probably doesn't matter.

The plugs should last 75,000, not 57,000. They probably last much longer than that as the tip is iridium and the ground is platinum.

I've been able to avoid investigating that part and have never removed the headliner. It seems to me the wires that come through the hatch rubber duct would have them combined and then the left and right would split there under the plastic liner of the rear hatch.

Does the water pump leak? The seals or whatever can go bad.

Removing the hatch inside panel isn't too hard. You might have to use a probe to trace where the problem is. The wiring bundle for the hatch comes down from above the roofliner through a rubber grommet.
