Makes a pretty bad noise though... I had a rear caliper freeze up a while ago (wouldn't slide on the pin) and it wore down the pad without the screecher while the other side of rotor rusted over, so I didn't even notice it until the pad was down to the backing plate. Had to replace everything...

Yep, and their ignition systems are generally responsible for misfires too. The guy said that he had worked on a Civic with a CAI just the day before that had hydrolocked; I didn't even think any more of it past that.

Had a scare Wednesday. Rough running, CEL, had it towed to my parents' house and the family friend/mechanic read the DTC as cyl4 misfire. He suspected either hydrolock (due to my intake) or destroyed piston rings ("due to high revs - you autocross, right?" (eek2)). I had to get back to class...

The plan is to use them daily up to around 500 miles to make sure they're properly broken in, then use them only for autocross, rides, and meets/shows. In reality, I'll probably keep them on far more often than that out of laziness and because they're so much better than the Generals.
