    ND MX-5 Jeff's 2016 ST GT Build

With a string of days with temps in the 70's ahead of me, I finally installed the MX-5Things rear LED strip that I got from Mrs. Claus. Install was pretty straight forward and rather than cutting a slit into the grommets for the wire, I used a 1/8" drill bit. Pushing the wire through was a bit...

    NB MX-5 Hey, it's Minnie!

Nice find Chief and I can see why you overlooked it initially. Hope you have a few more months on dry land before you are back on your sea legs!

What have you done to your Miata today?

First off, congrats and welcome to ND Mazda Miata Splash Guards 2016-2024 your new addiction! As for the splash guards, I'd recommend the MegaChip USA guards. https://megachipusa.com/products/nd-mazda-miata-chip-guards?variant=41982028021925 They are a fraction of the cost of OEM yet work...

    Phone mount recommendations?

The ProClip is pricey but worth it. I had one in my NB and NC Miatae. I would have bought another for my ND but I use wireless AA so it stays in my pocket. If you decide to go with one, I recommend the adjustable phone holder. Should your dad ever upgrade his phone it's very likely that the new...

    What goes here?

You're welcome @Sublimer677. I'd replace it as water damage would be inevitable at some point, most likely rust.

    What goes here?

The part you are looking for is this molding cap. You are correct, it does not screw in, it slides into place. It covers/protects the mounting point for securing the foot of a roof rack to the roof.

    Too small for me

Well, you can't go wrong with the CX-5 either @GrampaSlade. Zoom-Zoom That's ok @sm1ke, just an excuse to go back to the dealer so you can get behind the wheel of one. ;)

    Too small for me

There is a science to it, getting into the Miata not the little red and yellow plastic push car. ;) I suggest going back to the dealer and trying this: To get in: Open the door. Turn your backside to the cockpit and sit back onto the seat placing one hand on the a-pillar and the other hand on...

    CX-50 Hybrid coming this fall

I did see that video @25Hybrid. He is very informative and does great videos. I watched the one he has for the CX-70 PHEV to learn more about it before our daughter bought one. It was great to see the little details of how Mazda and Toyota pulled off this collaboration. They didn't just shoehorn...

    CX-50 Hybrid coming this fall

Congrats @25Hybrid! My wife and I are considering replacing her 2023 with a Hybrid but she is bummed that the Hybrid doesn't come in cypress green.

What have you done to your CX-50 today?

Dropped it off last Friday for the annual state inspection along with a pre-paid oil change and tire rotation and I mentioned the squeaky brake pedal (physical pedal squeaks inside the cabin when depressed) when I made the appointment over the phone. They tried to sell me an engine air filter...

    NB MX-5 Hey, it's Minnie!

Knowing that your bride left it in the kitchen, I think that is a sign that install takes top priority. ;)

Added a CX-70 to the Stable

Thank you @acidbug. Yes, you have to consider a lot of things when shopping for a PHEV/EV, not just that OTD price.

    WeatherTech Cargo Liner for CX-70

Very good point @RBrylawski and it would then make those cubbies obsolete. I'm wondering though, if @acidbug meant they were hoping the WeatherTech might have had inserts for the cubbies attached to the liner? This way the protection flows into the cubbies.
