You really need to set the heater to MAX or whatever the equivalent is, roll the windows down, and drive the car a bit. The heater core and associated piping/hoses can hold a lot of air. Revving the engine and cornering can help move the air pockets around and eventually out of the cooling system.

It's heavy. 340 hp pushing 4700-4900 pounds isn't going to produce bragging rights type numbers.

If space is a primary concern, the Pilot is going to win out. Personally, I'd steer clear of the CX-90 for the first year or two. All new engine, all new transmission, all new hybrid system from a manufacturer that's designed two flawed engines in recent memory is not a gamble I would take.

On the other hand, if every one of the 500+ Mazda dealers is moving one head a month, that's 6000+ a year out of maybe 100k with the marginal head. Those are not good odds.

The head changes might be increased thicknesses of aluminum around the exhaust studs which would be difficult or impossible to see visually. You would probably have to section some heads to see the differences.

The bigger concern with that model year is the head cracking due to a design flaw. Search this forum, there are a few threads on this topic.
