Looking for advise on buying 2022-2023 CX-5 Turbo

I understand the concern. If possible (and if it's worth it to you), you could bring it up with the service manager to see what they say, and then escalate further to Mazda Corporate to confirm that as long as the oil being used meets the certifications outlined in the manual, both conventional...

    Show me your CX-5 wheels

Wow, that is very close lol. It's interesting to see what can be made to fit and what will work.

What is this plug in the rear hatch called?

If you pull the other one off, it may have the part number stamped into it on the back side. If it does, you could go to a local dealership with the part number and buy/order it from them, or try an online search with the part number to find a retailer to order from.

    Mike's 2022 CX-9 Kuro Edition

Got some stuff done this weekend. First, I'll be returning the paddle shifter extensions. They just don't stick properly, and I'm still on the fence about the look, so I decided to go without. I had ordered a couple of exhaust tips from Amazon thinking that I could remove the OEM tips and...

    The Car Care Thread

First detail on the new (to me) car, which is a 2022 CX-9 in Jet Black Mica. I did a standard contact wash, then polished each panel with my Milwaukee M18 Fuel DA polisher, orange medium cutting pad, and Blackfire One Step. I took a significant amount of micromarring out, but some still remains...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

This weekend I got a few things done. Got the front windows tinted to 35%, installed a pair of LED reverse light bulbs, and replaced the slightly damaged SkyactivG emblem on the liftgate with a new one (Note: the OEM SkyactivG emblem is a pinned emblem that will leave 2 small holes if removed)...

    CX-5 Engine replacement question

The price you were quoted for a replacement engine sounds really high.. by comparison, a brand new 2.5T engine installed by the dealership here in Canada would run like $8-9k CDN ($6.5k USD), and that includes labour. A search on lkqonline.com shows a lot of available used engines ranging from...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Looking a bit more closely at the tips, I think they may be spot welded to the piping, so these 2.5" inlet tips won't work. I'll be returning them today. I ordered a pair of 3" inlet tips, which I know for sure will slip over the OEM tips.

Looking for advise on buying 2022-2023 CX-5 Turbo

Generally you just want to check everything that you'd normally check when you buy a used vehicle, like interior and exterior condition, undercarriage and door jambs (to look for significant rust), under the hood to check for leaks. Check vehicle history for reported accidents, and service...

Seeking Buying advice for 2022/2023 CX-9 CE, GT, Sig

I have not driven a CX-90 yet so I can't compare, but I had a 2018 Signature, and now have a 2022 Kuro (Carbon Edition in Canada). The 2022 is noticeably quieter than my 2018, and quieter than my brother-in law's 2024 Infiniti QX60. The nappa leather seats in my 2018 Signature were really nice...

    CX-5 stalled at high speed

Yes, this confusion is exactly what prompted all of the follow up questions that OP took offense to. OP never mentioned emergency braking - I think that if it happened, they would remember it, but that also depends on the settings they had enabled (or disabled) for the emergency braking...

    CX-5 stalled at high speed

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to get more info on the OP's situation. They've actually been permanently banned (by another moderator/admin) for ignoring warnings, insulting members, and being confrontational and condescending. At least they were able to take something away from this whole...

What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Applied some of that ceramic trim coating to the engine cover. I'm hoping this will make it easier to clean. I also ordered a pair of exhaust tips. Just need to work on getting the OEM tips off. I don't think they're screwed onto the pipe, but they don't want to come loose after giving them a...
