SBS is not the same as SCBS. SBS is for higher speeds, and its been known to be over zealous in testing. Mainly early reviews on the CX9. I dont recall the exact speeds, and there is probably some overlap for safety. But its something like: SCBS <= 22 mph SBS > 22 mph

I think some folks are confused. The base engine is the 2.5 SA-G. Then the optional engines will be the 2.0 X and supposedly a mild hybrid.

Even the wheels look Crosstek-ish with the squarish shaped spokes. Too much cladding for my taste. But the Crosstek sells like hot cakes, gutless engine and all.

That Mazda teaser photo totally looks like a wide body CX3. The wider spaced exhaust tips link it to the newer 3 platform.
