    Jack Pad Adapter

The pinch weld is very strong on these cars, I don't think they would bend very easily. For jack stands it is just easier to have the pads stuck on the jack stand cradle instead of placing cardboard or wood on top of them. Probably the bare metal cradle wouldn't even mark up the pinch welds.

    2019 CX-5 AWD Jacking Points?

About jack stands, I didn't like my harbor freight jack stand build so I got a refund and I got Walmart Black Jack stands that are made well, with one exception. I purchased another set of Black Jack stands later, and they were made lousy just like the Harbor Freight ones were made, the lever...

    Jack Pad Adapter

My post above sounds as clear as mud lol. You have to get on your hands and knees and look at it with a flash light for it to be clear :-)

    Jack Pad Adapter

What I interpret from what he wrote is that the space between the two welds (raised bumps) is lower than the rest of the pinch weld that runs front to back than the welded area. The area inside of the pinch weld (the side opposite of the door jam) goes way up, the pad won't hit anything on the...

I made pictures that shows that the pads only get the weight from the pinch welds.

    Mazda Factory Trailer Hitch question

If one doesn't have an air powered cutter, maybe a dremel with a cut-off wheel would work okay. I have good control with my dremel. How come the hole has to be so large?

2017~2025 CX-5 rear jack point question

I now jack up the rear on the extended part of metal, it is much easier to get to. No extension should be used on the rear or it could slip. It is not a big flat area like the front is, it only contacts a small area. If your jack cradle is bear metal you can put a 3/4 inch piece of wood over the...

    2019 CX-5 AWD Jacking Points?

Yes, 2018. I now use the part that hangs down on the diff. It is easier to access and plenty strong.

    Mazda Factory Trailer Hitch question

The bottom of the Curt hitch has over 10" of ground clearance. The car would have to be practically standing straight up in the air on it's tail for the receiver to hit the ground. Part of the exhaust system is lower than the bottom of the hitch.

    Surprise Checking Oil

A dead mouse is a real stinker. Once I was smelling something awful in my kitchen, at first I thought it was the garbage. When it kept stinking, I searched around and I found that a mouse had been caught in a mouse trap for who knows how long.

CX-5 Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

I just run put my phone in the phone mount, connect the audio from my phone wirelessly to the Mazda audio source, and use the Mazda nav to look at the bigger map. It works great. I suppose I would love it if I had my phone map on the Mazda screen, but since I never had that I don't miss it.

Confusing battery test results, any experts?

What I am shocked about is hearing that professional mechanics diagnose a good battery as being bad. Testing a battery to see its state and if it is bad is one of the easiest things one can do. I am a DIY, I have a marine battery, multiple tractor batteries, a jump batter etc thus it is natural...
