    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

Another CX-9 riding Yokohama Parada Spec-X These set me back $784 out-the-door in Maryland. Only dealer that could get the OE size in a day was also the cheapest. Hole-in-the-wall tire shop, but a pleasant experience (I don't get many). Balance is spot-on, and they didn't scratch my wheels...

    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

Well, the puncture at the inner edge of the tread/sidewall is unrepairable. I'm having trouble getting the Parada's locally, and my cheapest price from a dealer than can deliver is $804 out-the-door. However, they won't do road hazards and the wheel balancing is one-time-only (though the dealer...

    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

At least you got 20,000 miles out of them. My set has a little over 3,000 miles. No way I'll buy another Bridgestone, not even to save the set. Anybody in the Baltimore metro area looking for three 20'' Bridgestones, $150 takes all three.

    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

Where did you buy your Parada Spec-X in factory size? Well, one of my four Bridgestone (20's) factory tires suffered a small nail puncture so far into the inner edge of the tread/sidewall that it may not be repairable. I wouldn't dream of spending good money on one replacement Bridgestone...

    New CX-9 Grand Touring/Tire Concerns

Did you get the factory size, or did you go with an off-size?

    factory alarm

Make sure you're not getting just the pressure/touch sensor for factory alarm, which is added to the factory system, and not a substitute for the factory system. I remember seeing the additional sensor somewhere for around the price you quoted.

    Disable Horn with Remote Start

That's pure insanity. Do you know you would be criminally negligent if it could be proven you disabled any safety equipment, especially in the case of a major collision involving loss of life.. Believe me, in that instance, investigators will go over your car with fine tooth comb. Better an...

    Blue Tooth Question (Help)

Continued.. Hey again, not that it matters it's an LG vx8700, the vx8300 is mine (it doesn't have bluetooth). Manual said not to pair phone within 32 feet of other phone(s) present. So I turned off the power on my 8300 and redid her 8700 and for the moment seems to have worked. However, I...

    Blue Tooth Question (Help)

Intermittent tone from my speaker after pairing phone , Hey everyone, I think I have a problem. I recently paired my wife's LG vx8300 to the bluetooth (only phone on the system), and a short time later I noticed a low decibal tone coming from the left speaker (I think even the turn signal...

Are side step tubes looks good on CX-9?

The fact that the CX-9 doors extend downward beyond the structural rocker make placement of these type of bars unfeasable due to how low they must be mounted to clear the doors. Not only would it look awkward IMO, it would also greatly diminish vehicle ground clearance.

CX-9 Door Molding. see pics here

The moldings on my CX-9 front doors measure 1.5" x 41.5" and rear moldings measure 1.5" x 26.5".

Covers or ditch mold caps for roof rails

Not really. I got the factory crossbars with the roof rack, and since they're too noisy for a permanent install, I've been throwing around the idea of removing the entire set-up at some point.

Covers or ditch mold caps for roof rails

Those caps should have been left in your glove compartment, possibly in a plastic bag along with your manuals. That's where mine were. Presumably, they were placed there at the port where the roof rack was installed.

CX-9 Door Molding. see pics here

I can tell you for certain Sportwing uses different pieces for the CX-7 and CX-9. Also, the directions for the CX-7 state an 11" installation height vs 12" for the CX-9. I just installed these today. Color match is spot-on, and quality is reasonable in other respects.

    Oil Change

Yes, if you look closely at the pan, there are rough "serrations" all over the outer surface; presumably, they are a by-product of the casting process. I guess it would add extra cost in material, machinery, and man-hours to machine smooth the entire outer surface of the pan. Look at the bright...

    Navigation accuracy

This calibrates the nav to a tire size other than the OE factory size, for those who have gone with an off-size tire replacement. However, it does nothing to mitigate the speedo error caused by the off-size.

    why can't I find a 2009 manual 6

No damn company going to tell me what to buy with my money, not GM, and certainly not the UAW (the new GM middle management). I worked GM/UAW 14 years and took a buyout July 1 of this year. The union there is as contemptable as the company, if not moreso. Thanks, GM, for the $140,000. It...
