Mazda Dealer has no transmission fluid?

I can understand with the Mazda Moly oil but find it a bit outrageous that a dealer won't stock a specialty factory brand fluid that is essential and not widely available outside of Mazda. Would be pretty pathetic if you needed but had to order transmission fluid because the one Mazda dealer in...

Mazda Dealer has no transmission fluid?

That's insane. And if they get back to you what's the price going to be. It's liable to be over $20/qt. I've purchased the FZ fluid from different Mazda dealers online. This last time from this dealer. You pay shipping naturally but at $12.72/qt it's not too bad...

    2017~2025 Original CX-5 Brakes are lasting a LONG time…

You must do a lot of highway driving to get that kind of mileage on brake pads. I didn't measure remaining pad left on factory fronts when changing them but the replacement Raybestos Element 3 EHT hybrid pads are wearing at ~ 7000 mi/mm with my 90% around town driving I do (not stop and go city...

    2018 CX-5 Carbon build up?

I still think of NGK being one of the quality manufacturers. Don't know where you sourced that coil but ebay and Amazon have been accused of selling counterfeit parts.

    Radiator Coolant Loss (2020 CX-5)

Here's a sealant that I've used with good success that's stronger than the usual silicone gasket maker/sealer. It's an ADHESIVE sealant. I always keep a tube on hand for unplanned fixes. Also, a windshield sealant is tougher stuff too. An epoxy may provide a strong seal also...

2014 CX-5 AWD Bad noises and all four wheels are locked up!

What are these "bad noises" being referenced? Are there any when in Drive or Reverse and gas is applied. Put it under load. Can you feel like power is applied and it wants to move but the brakes are locked or is it no feeling of car trying to drive through locked brakes, meaning no power to...

Is it a big deal if springs are misaligned?

Try using only 2 compressors on the spring or do you mean 4 compressors total for 2 springs. There's no danger of the spring flying off and you only need to compress enough to rotate.

Is it a big deal if springs are misaligned?

Why do you need to use the impact wrench. A wrench or a pass -thru type socket works, just requires more elbow grease.

Is it a big deal if springs are misaligned?

You shouldn't have to take them out again. Get a spring compressor (probably rent one at Autozone etc) that hooks onto the coils and compress the spring slightly enough to rotate the spring and rubber into proper position. Depending on clearance of the compressor in the wheel well, you may have...

Is it a big deal if springs are misaligned?

In the picture I can only see that the rubber is rotated. The metal 'cup' (spring perch on the strut) which supports the spring should have a raised bump which acts as a stop to keep the spring from rotating.

Is it a big deal if springs are misaligned?

As long as the spring is located properly on the spring "perch" on the strut (end of spring against the raised stop portion of the perch) I wouldn't worry about it. The rubber spring "seat" just provides a cushion between a hard metal spring and the metal strut which reduces vibration from the...

    2017 CX-5 vs 2024?

I agree about the tires and air pressure. The replacements for my Yoko's were General Altimax RT43 which the tire shop inflated to the recommended 34 PSI. Driving away it had a soft, sloppy ride and I wondered if I chose the wrong tires. Inflating them to 36/37 gave a much improved ride with...

    2017 CX-5 vs 2024?

Tires make a huge difference. I hated the all too often harsh ride when I bought my 2014 that I got rid of those stock yokohama Geolandar's at 3000 miles. Major improvement. And this is on 17" wheels too. Being a 2017 I'd think there would be enough miles on it for the suspension to be...

    Rough idle/miss fire issue (2017 CX-5)

Looks like the vacuum pump that supplies vacuum to the brake booster for the power assist. You may find some youtube videos on how to test or change. No instructions in the shop manual?

    Radiator Coolant Loss (2020 CX-5)

I don't see where a 1/2 quart low would be detectable or cause an increase in engine temperature. That's not that much in a ~ 2 gallon system. I suspect something else was the cause.

CX-5 Wheel play up, down and side by side

If the OP decides to change the LCA(S) themselves, I would hope that they read about other members experiences here and what an absolute joy and picnic it was to do the job.

2013~2016 CX-5 Suspension noises and steering feels mushy

Yes, that statement caught my attention also. My mechanic who installed them for me said the job went easier than expected. Even though I didn't do the job, I can't see much of a problem getting things lined up. I will mention that a big reason I purchased OEM Mazda LCA's was I wanted a quality...
