This is more of a maybe philosophical point than a technical one. My point or observation is that on a daily basis in a sense I feel that the MSP is being wasted on commutes or in traffic or normal driving. The car just feels so much more fun and being used to its potential on twisty canyon type...

Thats a interesting study. I guess it proves Mazdas are good cars along with other sources. As far as the MSP is concerned, I havent had any problems except for some suspension squeeking on bumps, which went away with "bushing lubrication". I DO KNOW that the 323/Protege is a really reliable...

Bottom line is the MSM is outclassed in its price range(sans the RX-8 which is a waste of money IMHO). Your right the MSP is not the best 4 door sports car...but at its price that we 03.5 owners got them for...they ARE PRETTY DAMN GOOD. The statistics on this car are sick for the price.

No problems yet mechanically. Im beginning to think Mazda did a decent job since the car has so much aftermarket stuff and a turbo bolted onto a stock motor AND yet its pretty reliable.
