Did your dipstick somehow come out of the hole it is suppose to be in? (The dipstick tube, that goes into the hole in the block)

Why did you break the clutch line when changing the engine? You can unbolt the slave cyl and lay it off to the side.

Do you have the clutch installed properly? Either the slave cylinder is giving problems or the clutch is not acting properly.

Do you have the axles pushed in all the way? If not that would cause it to leak bad. But I have changed my tranny twice and never changed the axle seals and they dont leak a drop.

I doubt you are going to be able to see the hose. But its worth a shot before you take the trans out of the car and split the case in half.
