TurboLife FMIC Installation begins....

SOLD! Hello all, After tearing down my old engine, I found my Pauter rods in great condition. If I would have had time to do so, they would have been reused in my new build I am completing now. I am selling them as is for $275 for the entire set or best reasonable offer.

Problems solved this weekend... This weekend I was able to traverse two big roadblocks in my build: 1. Fitment of the wastegate actuator: I found a solution to the wastegate clearance problem. I rotated the coolant hose clamp up and also bent the tube up slightly. 2. Oil return Line...

Do you have this picture zoomed out? I think I understand. Your bracket is smaller, since it was for the stock MSP turbo, therefore you didn't have the clearance issues I did?

I put the assembly together last night for test-fitting this morning: This morning during test-fitting I ran into a little snag: The wastegate won't fit! I am working on solutions, one of which I may already have in my possession.

After work progress: Last night I picked up parts from Sam at Crossover (Oil supply line, and turbo gaskets). Got the oil line installed this morning before work, but noticed the little protective rubber boot to my starter wire is missing... hmmm.... This evening after work I test-fitted...

The next hurtle to overcome is the fabbing of a suitable internal wastegate bracket. I'm going to have to fab up additional support due to only one bolt hole being able to be attached to the turbo currently. I also had to make the bolt holes bigger to accommodate the turbo bolts:

Thanks man. I made some more progress yesterday and today: Yesterday I bolted on the power steering pump, AC compressor, last of the belts, and the clutch line: Today I needed to get my upper water neck installed. The only problem was that the hole drilled for the Haltech (really GM)...

In an hour before work yesterday, I was able to drop the engine into the engine bay:

Looking for no less than 350-400 WHP, but will take it easy until I can get my trans-axle upgraded to take it.

Yes, reusing my currently installed (since 2005) Haltech E6X (for now).

Sidenote: Always make note of the location and orientation these brackets BEFORE you remove them so you know where they go when you reinstall. There are no references to them in the shop manual!
