    2014 Mazda3 i-ELOOP Battery imminent failure warning

Jesus. Is that a special battery? Never had a battery cost more than $150 with a free installation from a Big Box Auto Parts store.

    2011 Mazda3 clutch pedal assembly

Junkyard or aftermarket then. Look on craigslist or ebay for partouts and ask seller if they will sell the bracket. https://www.car-part.com/ I've used the above site to find parts for the Mazda 3 around me. Otherwise...now's a good time to make friends with a local welder. Not a bad thing...

Mazda5 ECU / Engine swap / Tuning options?

Anything can be done. You're looking at $$$ for something that extensive if you're doing a full tear down and rebuild. I'm not even sure if you can significantly bore and stroke these engines. Modern engines are fairly thin walled. If you're going that far, then may as well add the turbo and...

Mazda5 ECU / Engine swap / Tuning options?

Nothing more than a few HP here or there. It's tuned for maximum MPG. If you go with a different "tune" you will lose MPG and probably won't gain much more than a bit of throttle response. Most "performance" products sold actually hurt performance by confusing the ECU's metering algorithms...

    Odometer/Speedometer issues…Help!

Larger wheels will cause a change in readings. https://tiresize.com/speedometer-calibration/ On the 300 miles...that is weird. Might be a bad cluster. A blown fuse won't allow any of it to work. More likely would be a bad connection or bad cluster.

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

A lever is bent, a switch is out of position, the console is not seated properly, the transmission is not quite the same as the old one...could be anything between the shifter handle and the transmission. Maybe there is an adjustment somewhere...but I have no idea.

New Mazda5 transmission won't engage after install

So I've never done and automatic transmission swap or rebuild...but the pump is internal and integral to the transmission. If it's bad, you need a new transmission. Apparently some Torque Converters need to be primed before re-installing the transmission. Don't know on this car. This means...

New Mazda5 transmission won't engage after install

3.5qts is not nearly enough. You need like 12-16qts depending on the car.

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

Sounds like your shifter linkage is misaligned.

Urgent help needed. A hole under the engine?!

Don't start drilling and tapping for no good reason. Do a search on this and you'll see other people ask about this hole. Pretty sure it's normal.

Urgent help needed. A hole under the engine?!

That is a normal looking hole. Now, if something went over it...I couldn't say. But that's not broken metal.

Starter grinding on flywheel after transmission replacement SOLVED

Sounds like the starter relay may be getting stuck on? If it were me, I'd pull the fuel pump relay so it couldn't start. Then turn the key to crank the engine and if you let go of the key...if the starter is still turning the engine...the starter relay is getting stuck on.

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

Weird. Next step would be to hook everything else up except for that ABS-V and see if the dash goes crazy again.

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

Looking at a wiring diagram for 2013, there is a passenger fuse box that looks like it is under the kick panel or up under the glove box on the passenger side. So you may have 2 fuse boxes to pull fuses from. Since you replaced the transmission, I would really start there and look at all that...

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

I'm not sure, the ECM and TCM may be one unit on this car. You really need the factory service manual for your car. I buy them as PDF downloads on ebay for like $10. They have diagrams and schematics, etc. Then there's no guessing. If it were me, I'd pull ALL the fuses and ALL the relays...

Flickering dash lights and car won't start after new transmission installed

If you have 12.8v on the NEGATIVE cable terminal while disconnected, you have a short. But checking grounds is not a bad thing to do either. I think you are working in the right direction, remove all fuses, inside and outside the car. Disconnect the ECM. Disconnect the TCM. I believe the...

    Motor mount suggestions...

A bad mount is often going to clunk when going from Park\Neutral to drive or reverse. I have had that small vibration at idle in all the cars I've had with automatics once they reach a certain mileage. Had a 2003 Honda Odyssey that got all its mounts replaced including the transmission mount...

    What is this sensor?

Here it is: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/mazda-valve-solnd-purge-w-hose-l3p520360b I don't know if they broke off part of the intake or the tube. If it's the tube, I'd buy a new one, if it's the intake, I'd probably try an epoxy. It's for vacuum, if it leaks, it will probably cause...

    What is this sensor?

Whelp, I've failed to figure it out. It looks like a PCV valve and hose...but the diagrams don't seem to line up for it. I don't think it's a sensor. Does it plug directly into the intake?
