I'm thinking there's a difference between the 3 remotes and the proteges but I don't remember what it is, someone else might be able to chime in and say the difference. I bought an extra protege remote off of ebay and paid like $18 shipped.

That's kinda what this looks like now that you mention that. In person though, it does sorta look like the door was pried open. This P5 wasn't sitting there until after all the black ice we had around here. It's hard to tell what happened.

Same here. I had no clue what I had until I found this forum about 1 1/2 years later. However, I did notice that I never saw another MSP around. To this day, my MSP is the only one I have seen in person.
