I tried to use pliers and flat head screw drivers to remove it but newer P5 is harder to take it out this way. you can get a tool that looks like a plier that has two tiny points at the end and usually has 90 degree bend at the tip. You do need to watch out for not damaging the rubber. once...

I do have lead foot and I'm getting around 27-28 MPG. Currently my car has over 9000 miles and use amoco or mobil regular(87). I put around 62 miles per day for commute and it comes out to 20 miles for local and the rest is toll/freeway.

I think he meant when "he" does 3000RPM in 5th gear, he is doing 65MPH. So when protege with a turbo does 3000RPm in 5th gear... what speed will it be...

For later Protege 5 My Protege 5 has some kind of heat shield underneath where the shifter is and after I installed the shifter, it sometime rubs when I shift. So I got two aluminum ring spacers from Home Depot and installed them so the shifter doesn't touch the heat shield.

I get around 28 MPG if I take out my roof rack. During the summer time, I had my roof rack on and sometime with the bike rack and I only get around 26.5-27 MPG. It's also little noisier.

I've got kartboy and I have not tried TWM so I might be bias but I love my kartboy:)

Mine used to vibrate or partally rattle if I push over 3000 RPM. After I got short shifter and polyurathane bushing, It doesn't rattle and vibrate MUCH MUCH less.
