Did this Mod yesterday. Changed a few things here and there, improvised a bit, but it all went quite smoothly. We didn't sand at all. Also didn't use Hi-Temp paint. Might seem like a bad idea, but my friend that helped me did this to his Volkswagen VR6 over a year, and hasn't has any issues...

Sure thing. I think anything is going to feel like a million bucks at this point. I have so little pad left... So I'm not sure how much of it is actual performance, and how much is purely psychological. I don't want to get to heavy on the brakes these days... So it's hard to say.

I'm kinda leaning towards the DRT black or silver powdercoated ones. Not sure exactly which way I'll go. For some reason, I tend to believe that the powdercoating will resist rust better than zinc coating. Tough call...

What are the differences in ride height from stock on both sets?

I guess my assumption is that it has to be at least OEM quality, maybe better. I need brake pads (badly), and the dealership told me they wanted to turn my rotors (huge labor cost)... so I figure for less money, I can get something that looks totally sweet, and performs about the same, if not...

I will be posting pics of mined in a few weeks. I need to get the wheels on (they'll be here monday), buy some springs (thinking eibach pro kit), and hopefully paint the headlight housing black. Then I will be ready to share my silver MP5 with the interweb. Of course there will be other things...

Was there rust on the hub and outer edge, or just the part that makes contact with the pad? 'Cause the pad will rub off the zinc coating, but then again it'll rub off the rust as well. I'm more concerned with rust on the hub and outer edge. Please, do tell...
