I hate them so much I get mad when I see cute renditions of them in kids cartoons. They’ve made owning a travel trailer a fun experience almost every time I get ready to take it out. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

Also, maintenance rookie question here… Can I just add brake fluid to the Mazda without doing anything else? I plan to get the pads replaced soon. Adding brake fluid now doesn’t cause a problem for that service, right?

I thought the same. It’s funny to me as we cross shopped the Volvo & Mazda when we were searching. I still love the Volvo safety and looks of the XC-90, but the reliability would scare me death (runs to the garage and smells for coolant odor before posting…lol).

I’m on the same page. I planned on keeping the CX-9 in the family for a long time. I’d generally prefer to keep my 2016 Mazda as a matching numbers car, lol. But like Sonic said, if it comes to it I’d be way more comfortable with an entire engine swap than a cylinder head.

The thought of having a local tech disassemble an engine that robots in Hiroshima didn’t get right the first time is terrifying. If the numbers made sense I’d probably think long and hard about trading her in after getting the engine repaired.

No frozen infotainment or failed back up cam in the last week of driving. Fingers crossed it keeps working as advertised.

Good thoughts, but no discount tire near me. I’m okay with waiting 3 weeks for the install. We’ll just keep fingers crossed for good weather till then & take my truck if not.
