You cant, the Manual controls are not wired for the automatic. It's more work then you think.

I'm always late on the draw on seeing these posts. That's almost always the issue. If the car tried to run and then dies it's always one of two things with RS systems. 1) Tach issue, or 2) Bypass issue. Some cars it wont even crank if it's a bypass issue. Good Job on finding it yourself.

I didnt, I used the Metra kit that they make. It allows you to change the display so its not just blank when you change the deck. I just modified the crap out of it and moved the circuit board to where the ashtray was.
