2013-2016 2.0L Difference of Exhaust Manifold Auto vs Manual Trans?

If the Mazda part numbers are different, the exhaust manifold between auto and manual has to be different and isn’t interchangeable. Yeh the CX-5 manual is rare, hence the used parts are harder to find. Why do you need a new long and heavy exhaust manifold though?

Vibration felt on highway (2020 CX-5)

Mileage of the car and what kind of tires do you have? What is the tread depth of the tires? Sometimes road force balance on tires may be needed depending on what kind of tires do you have.

2015 Mazda CX-9 Caliber Pin torque specs?

As opposed to any other car manufactures, Mazda likes to give a range of torque specs instead a clear and simple one value. Here is the rear brake torque specs on 2017+ CX-5’s and your CX-9’s should be similar.

2016 CX-5 GT Broken rear upper strut mount

The website says Mazda 3 2018-14 and Mazda CX-5 2016-13 use the same rear shock mount? It even lists equivalent Mazda’s OEM part number which is impossible as Mazda doesn’t sell this part separately for gen-1 CX-5. Pull the Mazda part number KA0G28910B listed for rear shock mount at the...

2016 CX-5 GT Broken rear upper strut mount

But these rear shock mounts are for Mazda3, they aren’t compatible with our CX-5. The problem for CX-5 rear shock mounts is they aren’t available separately on gen-1 CX-5 from Mazda OEM. And they’re hard to find from aftermarket. They don’t come with aftermarket rear shocks either.

    2019 CX-5 Coolant problem (CEL = P0126)

Have to make a correction here that Mazda didn’t use “coolant control valve” on its SkyActiv-G 2.5L / 2.0L NA until 2018 MY when they introduced the cylinder deactivation to the 2.5L NA. The 2.5T based on the 2.5L NA was introduced in 2016 MY for CX-9 which keeps using traditional mechanical...

Thinking of getting a CX-5 Turbo, things to look out for?

I’d alway go for the lower mileage one, unless the color is the one I really hate. So #4 for me. All 3 have CPO warranty, and #4 doesn’t? CPO is nice, and you could pay a little more to get a CPO warranty if the seller is a Mazda dealer. Also #4 is the only one with good exhaust valve stem...

Not surprised, rust has always been a problem for Mazda vehicles: Undercarriage Rust Would you be concerned about this amount of rust? Just joined the club and question on rust Rustproofing & Undercoating...is it necessary? The comparison pictures between @Fish1’s CX-5 and his much older...

Thinking of getting a CX-5 Turbo, things to look out for?

Well at the time the “thermostat” is on the list covered by powertrain warranty, but the Mazda dealer and MNAO claimed the “coolant control valve” (with an integrated thermostat inside) isn’t the “thermostat”, hence isn’t covered under powertrain warranty.

    2019 CX-5 Coolant problem (CEL = P0126)

To be fair, many car manufactures will fail on customer satisfactory category from time to time, with different reasons. I used to buy VW only until they refused to fix the severe oil consumption problem (1 quart oil per 800 ~ 1,000 miles) on my 2001.5 Passat GLX 2.8L V6 5-speed under new car...

2013 Skyactiv-D CX-5 (UK). What to be aware of and best Android Auto?

Consider yourself lucky that 2013 CX-5 2.2L diesel lemon is gone and you have no chance to get it now. There’s no free lunch, and there’s always a reason why that diesel stayed unsold for a while with such a low price. Just too many major problems on this 2.2L diesel, camshaft wear、oil...

    2019 CX-5 Coolant problem (CEL = P0126)

Based on the latest TSB 01-005/24 you’re correct that there’s a mechanical thermostat which is built into the coolant control valve. Although it looks different from those we usually see and it certainly is different from those “electrical thermostats” been used on Toyota’s. Luckily Mazda has...

    2019 CX-5 Coolant problem (CEL = P0126)

Mazda has issued a Special Service Program D4!(SSPD4) on this “Check Engine Light ON with DTC P0126:00” problem with the thermostat stuck open on the 2.5L NA with CD as posted above. The SSP stated the warranty coverage for specific repair of the “fail-safe thermostat” in the coolant control...
