Actually, I was wondering about the knock sensor voltage in order to retard the timing a couple of degrees. General rule of thumb is for every 50 horses worth of nitrous you should back the timing off 2 deg. I would love to find out what the voltage operating range is on the stock knock sensor...

PATIO, Question about timing, couldn't you alter the voltage from the knock sensor to pull a couple degrees?

The weight thing may not even be an issue though. PAW (Performance Automotive Warehouse) sells complete all aluminum small and big block chevy long block kits. They're not that expensive either. Aluminum heads, block, hell even rods if you want. Heaviest thing in the kit is the crank!
