I've never driven a MSP but my P5 defininatly understeers. It bothers me so bad. Its not extreme, but very noticeable.

MR2's are awesome. I have one with a TD06 turbo, and it is a joy to drive. I used to have an NA before the turbo. The NA's can be competitive at an auto-x but I've not tried my turbo yet. I doubt it would do well with a larger turbo, no lsd, and shot syncros; not to mention being in a hard...

"235/40 will rub" I seriously doubt they would rub in the rear. What makes you say this? Why would 40's have a problem in the front? This would be very close to the stock size in front, I think. Stock is what, 195/50/16?

I have a set of 17s with staggered tire sizes. Im considering putting them on my P5. I think the rears are 235/40s and the fronts are 205/40s. Would this be ok for the P5? Would it alter the handling much? I would suspect it would increase understeer a little.

Yep. Are you just going on feel? I bet your getting boost and just dont know it. Get a real boost gauge.

You will probably get a cool sucking sound though.

I doubt you will see much of a increase if any. The intake plumbling brings in fresh cool air where it is located.

I wish I could reconsider buying my P5. It just seems a little dull, slow and boring. But other than that, its a decent little car. No real complaints except the power.
