    VICS manifold from 2.0 on a 1.8

Thanks for all the great info. It is really appreciated. Thanks for the info Cougar. Sounds promising I am pretty confident in how the VICS works. How it works But the electronics are a bit difficult. What I would like to know, is what should be done to assemble it properly and fix the...

    VICS manifold from 2.0 on a 1.8

Hmmm. Thats a bit disapointing. Was hoping it was some kind of vacuum control. Like the VICS on the FE3 and the BP (vacuum solenoid). Maybe that could be fixed togeather with the FS manifold somehow??? Or are those ALSO connected to the ECU in some way? The VICS seems like a nice manifold. But...

    VICS manifold from 2.0 on a 1.8

Hi. I'm going to post this under the 2.0 forum, because it seems there are more activity, and because it is relevant relevant for 2.0 engines. Is it correct that the VICS manifold is controlled by the ECU?? Anyways. I have the FP-DE and no VICS manifold. Am I able to use the VICS manifold on...

    Full exhaust

I had a OBX header from ebay (so don't know HOW MUCH obx they actually where), SLS midpipe and racing beat catback from PG. The only problem was an exhaust mount. The original was too small. The problem was solved with a threaded bar, which was bent in a U-shape, a bracket (I actually think we...

    comparison of high compression pistons

I've found high compression pistons at srmotorsports and at protegegarage, but theres a pretty huge prize difference. $79 a pop at srmotorsports and $599 for a set at protegegarage. Why the big difference? Do you "only" get pistons and no pistonrings from srmotorsports or is it just the quality...

    2010 Sho

WoW.... this is really craptastic reading. I wish it would be about mazda 2.0 tuning. Maybe then it wouldn't be junk. But so far ...random crap. It doesn't belong here!

    FS parts in the FP

But why is it, that the FS would get the 9.7-1 compression with FP pistons, but FP won't get the high compression, with the FS high-compression pistons?? And would would I get by using them in my FP-DE?? (the 10.7-1 pistons I mean) Thanks Niels

    FS parts in the FP

    So no-one has an opinion???

    FS parts in the FP

After reading on wiki (?!) that putting FP pistons in the FS, you get the compression ratio of the FP (9.7:1). It is said that both engines have 83 mm bore. So wouldn't that make it possible for me to use the high compression pistons for the FS in my FP-DE (the 10.7:1 pistons)???? Can anyone...

    626 Intake Manifold N/A Simplified

Oh, that picture is spot on. Thanks. Regarding the VICS, I seem to remember it being used more in the US, than in europe, but I may be wrong. Other than that, my FP-DE doesn't have it... As far as I know, its only the 2.0 FS that has it, so I should be going after a 1.8 626... right? I.T.Bs are...

    626 Intake Manifold N/A Simplified

I still have a haaard time telling the difference, between the 626 manifold and the stock 323... Does anyone have something like a picture or the likes to compare the two...? Its hard to see anything on my picture with all the wires and crap, but you get the idea of its shape/size.

    626 Intake Manifold N/A Simplified

Could you tell me what model year you got it from?? (I actually don't know if it matters...but soneone mentioned a 2000 model as the best??!?) Is there a difference between the 2.0 and 1.8 manifold from the 626 or is it only the one from the 1.8, that will work (on the 323 FP-DE)?? And if...

Just a plain old 323/protege And in the spirit of this thread, there are two imeges. Slightly different angels. Not shure if there is any difference. Just whanted to try the location out and se how the pictures turned out... Niels
