I had my first oil change at 3000 miles( for the break in period) . I drive about 100 miles a day. Most of my trips are 30miles or more. I will change my oil about every 4000 0r 5000 miles now. If you don not make long trips the always change your oil every 3000 miles.

Yah that sounds right. My dealer told me 7500 miles. But most of what they do are just inspections plus and oil change, tire rotation and lube. Other then that the next "scheduled Maintance" is at about 15,000 miles.

What Kind of High Temp paint? Is the $3-4 engin paint ok? I have seen JCwhitney selling this brake paint just for this but it is about $12 for 2 small cans. Their paint claims to last at least to 1200 degres instead of the 600-850 temp rating of engin paint.
