Come on, you know that BS car isn't selling any parts for you... Time to develop the 2.0li Skyactiv-G swap kit, aka the STL Mazda2 hot-rod. (thumb)

Just to expound a little more on Derricks explanation... Unlike the Solo Nationals you have to race your way into the Runoffs, its not hard, in most classes four natl race finishes get you an invite. The exception to the rule is defending champs get an automatic invite. And this year for the...

The steering wheel coming off is near the top of the list of things that can go wrong. lol Do it. Gordon Jones was talking about dusting off his BMW and running next year, so you would have a local fast guy to race with. Just imagine what dropping 450lbs would do for your car. :)

The double dip definitely paid off for you, we could see your laps times improving. Great job on your first year. Its a shame with the popularity B-Spec has had in WC this year they could not make a class at the Runoffs. Very disappointing to see the backdoor method of getting "Championship"...

I noticed in the FasTrack today that the listing from the prelim was not carried over. At least you should be able to see the back of Davis now. (rlaugh)

I think Davis will be hard to beat. Even if you wrote a letter and tried to fight the weight I don't think you could get it changed before the Runoffs. Did you get the new Mazda BS reflash?

I doubt you could get it done in STL with the 1.5li, you need to swap in something bigger. To win STL you need to go faster than me (HProd) without slicks, without the close ratio trans at about the same weight and power. The front running STL cars make 185-200hp.

You are not required to "strip the car out", it is simply an allowance. The weight is a performance adjustment, the Mazda 2 seems to be beating up on everyone in WC BS, so the Club guys get to share the joy.

Are you still going to be loving it on Aug 30th when you have to add another 100lbs to your car? Nice of them to give you that right before the Runoffs. This is on top of the 50lbs you just got a few months ago. http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/assets/TB%2013-09%20prelim.pdf I wonder which...

Thats the spirit. It will just be a shame if you don't actually crown a champion due to not hitting the minimum car count. And B-Spec bringing up a distant last in participation for the year. Sure glad they killed SSC for this (I say as our SSC car collects dust because it is an also ran in T4)...

No reason to even think about it, or ask, just do it. Lots of people double or triple dip for the tow money - basically covers your entry fee making for a free practice. SM guys run STL for extra seat time, and because the Mazda tow fund is better for STL. Watch the 2012 STO race, where the SSB...

I would be shocked if they actually enforced that rule, I have never seen it used at the Runoffs - sure its in the sups, but unless you are making yourself a hazard it wont be an issue. Plus, at 115% you can run about 20-25sec off the pace in most classes because the track is so big. In 2012 STL...

If you are near Bakersfield/ButtonWillow on the weekend of April 27-28th

It was nice meeting you Derrick. Good luck with your program... Maybe someday you will decided to mod that car and go faster. ;) Here is my video, brief appearance by a Mazda2 in there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOhAfa2S1fE I think the gear split numbers I was talking about was before and...

Yes. I have to thank Mazda for thinking of us when they put this together, was very cool. Had to be a bit of a laugh for the photographer, he went from shooting the Grammies to hanging out in our driveway. (cabpatch) Mazda also gave us some love in the Fuel...

I thought it turned out great, other than you can not see the Mazdaspeed on Jessica's shirt. :) It was supposed to be a smaller story, but they had extra space so they moved it up a few days, added a few more words and bigger pics. :D
