I also have an 07 mazda 3 hatch and I had mine go out this spring.
My light never went on, but the pedal was getting soft, fluid was leaking out of the master cylinder. It was right around the same mileage as yours too, right around 28,000. Strange
Last winter I baught some bridgestone blizzak's and had them put on the stock 16" size steel wheels that the mazda 3i comes with. They worked great compared to my 17" snow flakes. Just make sure that if you go with the 16" rims to get the same outer diameter tire as your stock wheels have.
If...
After doing a little bit of research on my own it appears that TheMAN is correct about the ATF - MV being a specific fluid for Mazda. I was leaning towards Amsoil Synthetic Universal ATF Transmission fluid. Anybody have an issue with this fluid? It does say on Amsoil's website that it is...
So I have 30,000 miles on my 07 Mazda 3 Hatchback that has a automatic transmission. I had mazda put a new transmission in about a year ago around 15000 miles ago. I have heard recommendations that you should change your transmission fluid every year for optimal transmission life. Is this a good...
So I have had Koni Yellow Struts/shocks on my car for about a month and a half. I have the front adjusted to where I like them, but the back is another story. I have tried adjusting them twice, and it doesn't feel any different. I remove the shock from the car, then remove the shock mount. I...
Chrissor: What will the oil from a "K&N" style panel air filter do to the MAF. I have had one in my car for the past year without any issues. What would you use in place of a K&N style panel filter? I didn't want to go with a CAI or a SRI either. What is the best drop in style filter?
The Racing Beat Sways are good, the only time that I have really noticed an issue is if I am making a fast sharp run into a drive way where it makes me come in at an angle. Then one of the wheels comes up a bit I think. NTIMD8R how much did your springs drop the car? If I do springs I was...
Does anyone know of stiffer springs for the 3 that do not change the ride height? One of my friends recommended stiffer springs to enhance the ride a little more, but I can't find anything that does not drop the car at all.
I would go with the 17s. I have the stock 17" snowflakes on my car and for winter I even when down to a 16" steel wheel. I notice a big difference in ride quality between the 16" and 17". The 16" with snow tires ride so much better over bumps than the 17" do.
Good luck
Josh
Any other feed back on this? The past few days have been in the 70's and the car has been driving much better. Plan to have synthetic put in when the next tranny flush is done.
Well I just finished installing the racing beat swaybars tonight (late night, almost 1 in the morning). I have yet to drive with them on so I can't comment on that. Does anyone know where the item in the attached picture goes? It is just some plastic clip type thing, is it important, my dad was...
Does anyone know if there is a guide anywhere to install both front and rear swaybars? I have been reading the directions from racingbeat and would like some pics to go with it.
Thanks,
Josh
ok, I was thinking about using synthetic fluids next time I had them changed, it also should have a fairly recent TCM Flash as they tried updating that last summer before they replaced the transmission. Would there be a newer flash that would affect it a lot? Also one of my big complaints is...
I have had off and on luck with my car in regards to getting it to shift decent. The past three days here have been in the upper 90's and the car seemed to shift horribly in the afternoon on the way home from work. In the morning the temp was around 70 and the car seemed to shift ok. Is there a...
Last summer I was at devil's lake the day that it flooded, I drove through like 4" of water multiple times in my mazda 3 hatch on my way out of the park and back to the milwaukee area. Water sucks, glad I don't have a CAI.
you know you could get the stock wheels painted a different color, I have an 07 galaxy grey hatch and was contemplating having my stock wheels powder coated either matte or satin black. Powder coating is the same process that the wheels get painted with from the factory. When I priced it, it...
