I'm looking to buy a Split Second AFC V2, Thunder V2 or MAM exhaust manifold and Mazdaspeed Protege front bumper. Oh and if anyone has a wrecked protege, (Sorry by the way) I need a Drivers side rear quarter panel cause I got into a little fender bender myself.
mspeedprotege yours is not the lsd. I think you had a bearing fail and your gears might be messed up. That happened with my first tranny. When my lsd went out it would go into any gear but just wouldn't go anywhere and I would hear a grinding noise.
the only thing I would watch out for is the little tiny metallic balls that are used for keeping the gears in place. There will be two I believe each under a spring and the spring will be under a bolt. The bolts are on the case so they will look just like the bolts that keep the transmission...
Honestly it sounds like a wheel bearing, but I pray its not in the tranny. I've already had to replace my trans once because of a bearing that burnt up and sent my input shaft almost all the way through the case and then the lsd broke in half in the new one. I'm not looking forward to taking...
Im interested in the answer for this because mine is doing the same thing except for opposite. Its the drivers side and its worse when I turn right. I'm just hope its not a bearing inside the transmission.
I happen to aquire some money thanks to insurance so I was interested in buying an afc. Would like a new one with all accesseries but used is fine. If you happen to live in georgia or somewhere to it let me know so that maybe we can meet. Thanks.
Well I started working on it today and noticed my camshaft sensor wasn't screwed in all the way. I tightened it down and when I started the car it still shuts off when idling but if I give it gas it sounds fine. it doesn't sound like its misfiring when I'm giving it gas. So I'm thinking there is...
Whenever I did the gaskets and had the exhaust manifold off I remember looking inside the ports and seeing oil on top of the valve. I am actually going to tear it down today. I just wonder if the valve seals would make it run like there is a vacuum leak cause that is what it feels like. I'm...
There was just enough oil in the cylinders to cover the piston. I took a long q-tip down in the cylinders and it only wet the tip of the cotton. I did replace the head bolts when I did the head gasket and they were torqued to spec and in order. But just in case I got the torque spec and order...
