    AWD swap from a V50?

Or a JDM AWD Premacy, but I have no idea if the rear sub-assembly would be a bolt in affair...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Damn, that's a HUGE picture! Looking good there. No the 2.5 will not run easily on the 2.3 wiring harness. No the 2.5 is not direct injection. I would worry a lot more about the engine internals handling boost over long periods of time, rather than the automatic trans. The auto trans, you...

Stock struts and you are that low? I give those struts about six months before they are as dead as disco. Your rear shocks may go sooner than that. Be sure to keep an eye on your trailing arm bushings, they will also tend to fail early at that ride height. Your van is looking damn good, but...

Static review: White wall & lux comparison: LED, H11 LL, H11+100, H9

Will the 1st gen indie fog light mod not work on 2nd gen cars? If not, that kinda sucks! I have had HID in mine since right after i bought it, roughly four years. I am still on my original bulbs, ballasts, and relay harness. TRS is the only way to fly people, i cant repeat that enough.

    Getting ready to order

Good tip! Im assuming the shield is meant to protect the speaker from dribbling rain water. Ill have to see how much trimming these Polks will require, the magnets are substantial to say the least.

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Was it the 2.3 or the 2.5 MZR that has weak connecting rods? In terms of surviving boost that is.

Rear wiper not wiping top of window

I have had good service from the Trico "Exact-Fit" rear wiper. They are great when new, but only last a few months. The poor rear wiper is subjected to pretty harsh traetment back there...

    AWD swap from a V50?

Agreed, the hardest part to engineer/fab would be the rear axle & suspension. I rather doubt that the existing trailing arm and lateral link set up could be made to work with a CV joint. You would need a semi drop in rear suspension/subframe from a similar sized car. Check out the VW guys...

    Time to fix...

Thanks for the links, that gives me a head start. I thought about the jb weld thing, and it probably would have worked sbout a year ago, before the threads got really screwed up. No excuses for my stupidity/laziness there.

    Time to fix...

My stripped oil pan drain. The Vato-Zone toggle bolt patch plug is only sort of working because the hole is too deep, so the toggle bolt is sort of hanging on by its fingernails. NOT GOOD. So, I would really like to re-tap the hole in the pan to a slightly larger thread size, call it...

    Getting ready to order

Okay, that sort of answers my question then. So the factory wire going to the OE woofer now goes to the input on the crossover, the new wire goes to the new woofer and the new tweeter from the appropriate output terminals on the crossover, right? I am a little worried about mounting these...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

I giggled like a japanese school girl and it isnt even my van! Those look even better than i thought they would. Your picture, taken today, is reason enough for me to never move to Alaska. I like my winters short and sweet...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

AFAIK the Speed3 was manual only. I don't know if even the GT had power seats... I would also want to confirm that the power seats offer enough adjustment to satisfy you before going to the trouble of sourcing a set...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

If you are going to all the trouble of swapping seats, it wouldnt cost too much to have an upholstery shop redo the Speed3 seats in tan right? The you'd really have a show stopper on your hands. Did they ever offer the RX8 with a tan interior? I know one of our recent new members put RX8...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Speed3 seats ftw! Installed the new Pioneer 6886r speakers that have been languishing in my bedroom since christmas. Now that the rear "fill" isnt fuzzing out so bad at high volume i can hear how crappy the stock front speakers are :p I need some guidance on how to wire the external...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Replaced the plugs this morning, my second set of Denso Iridiums since I bought the car. The old plugs looked really good, equal wear of the electrode, all four plugs the same color (frosted light whte). I'm pleased and encouraged that they looked so good with the current milesge of 219,516...
