    Pro5 uses 4L engine oil?

No they didn't replace the dipstick or anything... I was just wondering out loud if the original dipstick was manufactured incorrectly or something. But yeah, if it is the dipstick's fault, you bet ya they would be responsibe...the trick at that point would be to get them to admit that there...

    Pro5 uses 4L engine oil?

Yep, that is changing the oil and filter. I usually drain the oil when it is hot, so it is nice and runny, and I let it drain for about 10 minutes. It is also on ramps when I change it, which also helps in making sure all the oil drains towards the plug hole. Although my earlier oil changes...

    Pro5 uses 4L engine oil?

I used to put 3.7 in my 02 P5 like the manual said, but could never get a reading on the dipstick, it always read extremely full. Actually, I couldn't tell where the level stoped, since the dipstick was completely covered in oil a good inch or so above the F mark. I called my dealer to check...

    Bad smell in the heat

Wow, it sounds like folks have all sorts of different stinkiness in their cars. My bad smell basically *is* the new car smell, except it smells really really bad in the heat. It's not related to the AC or ventilation, and is definately not due to mildew. I think the only thing the dealer...

    Filling in motor mounts

Let me know if the windo weld seperates on yours when you put the engine's weight back on the mount. Mine did. The problem is that the narrow slot is much smaller when the engines weight is not on it. With the engines weight on the mount, the upper gap becomes much bigger, it could almost...

    Bad smell in the heat

No, I don't. The smell is in the car when I open the door, without turning anything on. In fact, once I turn the AC on and it cools down, the smell goes away. For me, it has nothing to do with the AC or heat. It's weird that there are people that haven't noticed this horrible smell in the...

    Filling in motor mounts

So far I've notice that the windo weld has had subtle, but noticeable effects on my everyday driving. It seems to have almost dried on the inside, and the biggest difference I have noticed was that transitions between light on and light off throttle changes is almost completely transparent...

    Filling in motor mounts

Oooh, I'm liking this. Three questions, how long did it take to cure hard? What is the products full name? And where can I get it? Thanks Carlos

    Bad smell in the heat

NoOne, I know exactly the smell your talking about. It is not organic, doesnt smell like squirrel or eggs or anything like that. Well, I guess it could smell like artificial skunk l if anybody made anything like that. I've tried odor eliminators and they dont work. Most of those are for...

    Filling in motor mounts

Thanks for the link. Does that urethane you used set up hard after curing, or is it soft and rubbery? Did you run into any problems with it curing fully?

    Filling in motor mounts

Traveler, I had an idea that could possibly speed things up a bit. How about taking some rubber hosing, like the thinner stuff they sell at auto stores, and filling a few up with windo weld. Let those cure on their own and then use them to fill up the majority of the void. Then once they are...

    Filling in motor mounts

That is what I was thinking as a possibility. The only problem is that you would need to have the mount off of the car for a pretty long time. I mean for a thin layer you might need to let it sit 4 or 5 hours, and multiply that by, oh 10 layers. You would be without a car for a long time.

    Filling in motor mounts

Traveler, Did you get around to trying the windo weld? If so, give us your thoughts when you can. It would be good to have a couple of opinions.

    Filling in motor mounts

I'm finished reinstalling the mount. Took about 15 minutes being careful to center and tighten everything up just right. And this was with 40mph wind gusts and drizzle! (yes, my car was outside, and no, I did not think ahead). I took it out for a 20 minute test run. The things I can say for...

    Filling in motor mounts

I don't know yet... I put the mount under a pair of 75 watt lights to heat it up overnight. It seems to have made the skin a bit thicker, but you can still poke a hole in it with a needle and get wet windo weld on the bigger holes of the mount. The mount has a thin slit at the top that I...

    MSP Tranny Blues

The MSP tranny is the same as the MP3, Protege and P5 tranny. Just from reading around the forums, it seems this tranny doesnt like being manhandled too much because shift forks tend to break. The problem is, people probably manhandle them because they are not necessarily the quickest...

    Filling in motor mounts

I thought Kartboy was only making the front and rear ones. Maybe it wouldnt be a bad idea to tell them to consider the passenger mount as well, since it is so easy to get at.

    Filling in motor mounts

Well, its been 5 hours and the windo weld is nowhere close to curing. It has a skin on it, but you push on it and is still totally soft on the inside. This will be bad news if its not cured up by midday tomorrow, cuz its going back in the car at that point. I need the car for work on monday...

    Filling in motor mounts

Hey guys, I need some help please. To anyone who has filled in mounts with windoweld before...how long should I let it cure before I re-install the mount in the car? I decided "to hell with it" and took out the mount and filled it up with window weld. Im I bit nervous about the car up on...
