Best UK road legal bulbs 2010 Mazda 2

I used a similar set of bulbs, Philips BlueVision, and they worked well; I'd imagine the XtremeVision are similar. That sentence is in the past tense because, as with many/most specialty bulbs, they had a pretty short lifespan (just over a year).

I've had the oddest issue with my OEM radio recently... any ideas?

I'd start by pulling the headunit and checking the connections.

    WeatherTech Bug Deflector

You could also look into installing 3M clear film to protect against rocks and bugs; I bought a 12" wide roll online for like $70 and installed it on the leading edge of the hood -- it does a pretty decent job.

thoughts on automatic to manual conversion mazda 2?

With most modern cars, it's almost always cheaper (and of course easier) to simply sell your current car and buy the one you want.

    Mazda 2 / Demio thoughts?

We like our Mazda 2 so much we bought a second one.

    Rear wiper spray

Me too. I think they have it dribble because if you use it while at speed, a spray would just get blown away by the wind.

    Tire Choices

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to ask, what's the widest we can get away with on the factory alloy wheels?

    Tire Choices

So at about 50k on the odometer, it's coming time to put new tires on. Not thrilled with any of the tires in the stock size. The thought crossed my mind to just put a set of Michelin X-Ices on there and run 'em year-round (which, strangely, do come in 185/55-15's), but during the warmer months...

What did you do to your Mazda2 today?

Funny, that was a common problem with the 1st-gen Mazda3's too. The spring washer would crush down over time and the buckle would get loose, then start making noise.

What did you do to your Mazda2 today?

Got the front pads and rotors replaced on Aoi yesterday. I was going to do it myself -- I had even bought the parts already -- but then it got pretty cold here. Out of curiosity I called the dealer to see what they'd charge, and to my surprise they only wanted an hour's labor ($100). The pads...

    Cargo Liner?

Mazda unfortunately never made the OEM cargo liner available in the US. I looked into ordering one from a dealer in the UK but the shipping cost was prohibitive. I ended up instead buying WeatherTech's liner, which is awesome...fits perfectly.

    Passenger side winter windshield wipers

I've just been using the OEM wipers, they work decently enough. I discovered that Mazda now sells just the rubber refills for a few bucks, you used to have to order the whole frame/blade assembly for like $30 each.

    Valves ticking?

+1, my 2006 Mazda3 had some valve noise too. Just the way the MZR series is.

Looks nice! Digging the black spoiler.

    Ignition Coils and Plugs

I'd say, honestly, don't bother. The plugs Mazda uses are NGK Iridiums, which are *very* high quality and last a long time. And as for new coil packs, I'm not even sure what kind of gains you'd see. I think most around here would agree that a better bang-for-buck upgrade would be a short ram...

No warning sound when lights are left on

I can tell you that at least the US-spec 2's will sound a buzzer if you leave the lights on like that.

    Tire Choices

When the S34's on our blue 2 finally wear out (probably this summer, at about 48k) I think I'm going to jump up one size and get a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto AS's. Had those on our 3 and they were great for all-seasons. IIRC the tire diameter difference between stock and the closest size in...

    Trunk button issues?

We've found that the 4-button remotes (which have a trunk release button) from certain Mazda models will work to pop the hatch on the 2: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123816235-Remote-Entry-Unit-(OEM-Remote-Trunk-Release-Possibility-)

*** Everyone with steering clunk - read this ***

Looks like that 2nd TSB is a different one than what folks are getting their steering racks replaced for. I'm guessing it's only covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty, and not the powertrain warranty? Glad to see it only affects 2011-2012 models at least, so our 2013 should be OK. I'll have...

*** Everyone with steering clunk - read this ***

You know, with this thread going on for so long and a bunch of people having gotten their steering racks replaced under warranty, I've never seen anyone actually say what's wrong, other than a clunk sound. Is some part internally getting broken or prematurely worn? Are the wheels gonna fall off...
