Newbie to Pushbutton start: Dead battery on day 7 - Record Breaker?

I have done this too. I sometime turn off my car and forget to roll up the windows. I wish Mazda let me have all window control for a few seconds after turning off the car. The only warning you get is if you press the lock on the key fob twice. It won't beep if something is wrong. But I hate...

    Cracked Windshield on 2016 CX-5

I got one a few weeks ago. I have heard loud impacts going down the freeway. Sounded like the windshield would be shattered but nothing. Then going about 45mph something hit out of the blue. There was no car in front of me. Put a star at the base of windshield a little bigger than a quarter...

    AC Smells Bad-Mazda CX 5

I always turn off my a/c a couple min before I get to my destination but keep the fan going, and set to fresh. Not sure if it makes a difference but never had a smell problem in my cars.

    Electric parking brake use

I would not rely on a parking brake to hold the car in place. So anytime I am out of park I would have the foot brake applied unless I intend to move. I dont think it would really matter if the parking brake is engaged before or after the transmission is placed in park as long as the foot brake...

Reverse torx bolts. Does that mean I will remove them by turning clockwise?

    Flushing the Brake/Clutch fluid

Do I start with the brakes, or the clutch? Or does it matter? My old car had separate reservoirs, so it was not an issue.

    48k km/ 30k mi service...lubricating brakes?

I have 31,000 miles and the braking material is about as thick as the metal it is bonded to. So looks like I will be replacing within the next 5,000-10,000 miles. I took the slider pins out. The grease amount seems to be just adequate. I cleaned them and used sil glyde. The bottom pin looked...

Thinking about trade in cx5 for new cx-9?

They make the engine bay larger to make room for the exhaust manifold. Without this type of manifold our skyactive engines would be knocking. Or they would have to lower the compression ratio, which would mean lower performance and gas milage.

How To Remove rotors from CX-5? Please help

I've always used a small bolt in the extra hole that is on the rotor. Some rotors have two which is even better. Usually about a 10mm bolt will go in there. Then i tighten slowly. I will hear some popping then the rotor always comes off without hitting it.

    First time owner

I got a screw in my tire. The mazda system warned me before I could tell it was there. The system worked remarkable well. If mazda puts in a system that is more reliable, more simple, and cheaper I am all for it. If mazda gives me one warning light and I can't figure out what tire it is I will...

For those having Transmission Issues with their CX-5

In heavy rain your car can hydroplane. With speed control engaged when this happen it could try to accelerate during this period resulting in a spin out.

    Non OEM Rotors + Pads

I would continue to use the type of brake fluid Mazda recommends. Putting in Dot 5 brake fluid with an abs system is not good. You don't want your brake fluid to start foaming as when you abs kicks in. http://www.motorweek.org/features/goss_garage/brake_fluids_and_abs As far as aftermarket...
