i would try cleaning the maf first before replacement...worth a shot and cost nothing but time if you have some brake cleaner lying around

where did you get the bearings installed? that sound to me points to the bearing but it weird that they would go bad that fast... you said the wheel turning it wasnt silent, could be a brake, but does the wheel move (like pushing and pulling at top of rim)?

it could if it was warped enough i would think, but it sounds kind of like the wheel/rotational assembly stuff.. maybe even a balancing tie rods etc?

thats not the right gasket btw, if your close to a mazda dealership go in and ask them for gasket..its like 5-8 bucks. the bolt holes are slightly off so a reg 2.5 inch gasket wont fit.

i know on non turbo proteges you can hear this more but sometimes i can hear some tranny whine, i heard it before with my car before i installed my exhaust, now the car is too damn loud to hear but its a slight whine almost superchargerish sounding but very faint. alsmot like a whirling sound.

is smog text visual or it is texting exhaust? if its the exhaust test i would say that the fmic is not your issue and something else is. any cels on? also i havent the faintest idea of the rules in cali. corksport makes a nice kit btw.

Don't have a pic but its gonna run of a nipple in the centre of the manifold with a 90 degree peice right off of that. Then it runs to a "T" and one line goes to the wga and the other to the bpv. Fairly simple so if its different then he must have made some alterations in this one line. Lots of...

to flamsp, i think the vacuum off the manifold is not a very strong signal, and its an issue on all msps if i am correct. as far as a know i dont have any cracks or leaks in the lines, boost holds around 6psi and vacuum steady around -20. i also have the t from mani that splits to wga and bpv.

good valve nice and quick. u will still get some turkey as the hot pipe outlet for the bpv is 3/4 inch i think. the boostsciences is 1" so if you get larger nipples welded on you should remove turkey. also... hook it up to the brake booster. mine did not open under the vacuum from the manifold.

might be far off but possible its an exhaust mani leak.. cracked manis usually have a weird sound at start up but when they warm up they disapear... possible?

ive heard the forge unit does drop of boost like that, dont know why it does but heard it does. also have heard the atp unit (non adjustable) will give u an extra pound of boost - run 8psi - and not drop off. cheaper to boot!

Mmm that is pretty odd, I usually get more boost in the cold plus that b**** fuel cut interupts my pushes but yea usual 6-7 psi in the cold 5 in the heat. Maybe so cold you mani shrunk a bit lol cracked mani?
