try a highway run, i bet the Mazdaspeed does even better.

AWD= 24-27% drive train loss. FWD/RWD = 14-17% drivetrain loss. WRX = ~167 WHP. mazdaspeed = ~145WHP subtract for weight. and i'd say the mazdaspeed is a decent contendor.

get a larger by-pass. Probes like mine are easy to find. also can get them from mx6's. the by-pass outlets are a little larger than 1". should be able to get one for about $10. worth a try isn't it?

after the turbo reads ABOUT 200 deg. cooler. i would say the best place is in the manifold off of the runner for the cylinder that runs the leanest. usually the #4. in the manifold you will get more consistent temps.

usually, when knock is detected. the voltage goes down. also, knock happens so quick, that the LED probably wouldn't be able to light up quick enough to tell you.

the thing with most A/F guages is that they can pretty much only tell you yes or no. yes your rich, or NO!! your too lean. with narrow band O2's (what most vehicles are equipped with) it can tell you lean or rich and thats it. it can't really tell you how lean, or how rich. it can tell you your...

DO NOT scoff at the caprice interceptors. one of my buddies has a 96 with a 9C1 police package. on the highway that thing is a beast! i don't think there are too many cars that could outrun that thing short of corvettes/ferraris/lambo's/porsche.
