upon closer inspection, i found that i could move the power steering pump pulley a little from side to side. clearly it needs to be tightened up. i've never done any pully work, and it was dark so i couldnt see it that well, what do i need to tighten that badboy to where it should be? and if...

correcto. everything seems peachy. i have a fmic that sorta blocks my power steering fluid cooler, but it's been that way for well over a year, and i havent had a problem with it yet.

why thank you! i, of course, attribute that to the 7k rpm shifts, and those shifts alone. couldnt have done it without that extra 500 rpms! but seriously, at ~5000, my car gets more power/stops hesitating, so i'll take all of that power that i can get, right up to 7000.

3k was an exaggeration. i dont see why letting the rpms drop lower would help.

so i should shift that low, so the next gear ends up being at like 3k? i'll pass on that one.

i'm shifting at the rev limiter (500rpm's past whatever the redline is, i forget). should i shift at a different time?

motor mounts. good idear. there's 15-30 minutes between runs at the track, and i've been using a bag of ice on my hotside pipe to cool it down. works wonders.
