Key Fob Pressure question (2020 CX-5)

Not a critical issue by any means but I'm left a bit surprised. For quite a long time now I've had to press the key fob buttons hard and sometimes repeatedly to activate the doors and trunk lid. Today I finally got around to getting a new battery in the fob and low and behold light (normal )...

    Drivers Side Mirror Doesn't Open (2020 CX-5)

Nevermind, I see this issue has been addressed. Just switch off until next dealer visit.

    Drivers Side Mirror Doesn't Open (2020 CX-5)

I think I've seen references to this issue but I don't remember where. In the last few days when I park the car the mirrors close as they are supposed to but the drivers side doesn't open when I unlock the car. I have to play with the mirror control in the door and eventually I can physically...

    Four Batteries in 40,262 Miles (2020 CX-5)

I've read about the ventilated seat blowers staying on when the car is shut off but I've never encountered that problem. I hardly ever turn them on anyway.

    Four Batteries in 40,262 Miles (2020 CX-5)

Again, appreciate the helpful analysis from everyone. Yes there is absolutely something wrong requiring all these replacements I need to strong arm the service manager to get some kind of explanation. As yrsei52 mentioned above I've had a number of vehicles over the last twenty two years (5)...

    Four Batteries in 40,262 Miles (2020 CX-5)

I might add that after being stuck way out in the boonies when the first battery died and having to wait hours for a tow truck I now keep a fully charged Fanttik charger in the car.

    Four Batteries in 40,262 Miles (2020 CX-5)

No not covered on warranty. I apologize, I should have been more clear. My daily drive is around 37 miles about half country and half city. That includes the 3 miles on rough road so charging shouldn't be an issue. Thanks to all for helpful comments and suggestions.

    Four Batteries in 40,262 Miles (2020 CX-5)

I just got my 2020 Signature back from the Mazda shop where it had the 65,000 kilometer (40,400 mile) maintenance. To my amazement it needed yet another battery (they showed the current battery specs so I assume legit). This is the fourth battery! (The last three have been Willard). Whats more...

    No Turbo CX-5 Anymore?

It was their web page with current models. Maybe just Mazda in Colombia.

    No Turbo CX-5 Anymore?

I just took a gander at the Mazda website here in Colombia and the only up scale options that show up for the CX-5 are a "Carbon Edition" with 188hp non turbo motor. Is the turbo version of the CX-5 no longer an offering?

2017~2025: CX-5 Sport Mode Driving issues?

I agree with Frosty. Climbing a long hill the car selects a taller gear and doesn't downshift as readily as you need it to requiring the pedal mashing to get power. Sport Mode keeps the engine "on cam" and ready to accelerate right now.

When does the CX-5 Rear axel engage?

Ok that's interesting. I have understood that it (my 2020) is essentially front wheel drive with the rear axel only providing drive when needed. Thank you for the reply.

When does the CX-5 Rear axel engage?

I'm curious to know when the rear axel engages when starting up a steep incline. Also is there some sort of progressive engagement or is the engagement just on/off?

    Dumb Camera Question (2020 CX-5)

Where is the camera on the rear of the car? Sometimes the image is foggy from dirt and I need to clean it.

    CX-5 Self Healing Mirrors?

The other day I was driving on a two lane street in the city of Cali during rush hour. I was in the left lane and the right lane next to me was packed with motorcycles ("motos"). From a stop I moved forward as the traffic infront of me moved. Suddenly I heard a load "whack" and saw my passenger...

    Worst Accessery Purchase

Well I'll have to try some rachet straps. Thanks for the video.

    Worst Accessery Purchase

A fun video but you are not familiar with the Mazda accessory roof rack.

    Worst Accessery Purchase

That I have made was the purchase of the roof cargo bars. As they are rounded at the ends there is no way to anchor a load such as 2x4s so that it can't slide from side to side. A useless design that I unfortunaetly didm't analyze before purchase. Big waste of money!
