You'll need some kind of adapter plate. Probably have to make your own out of thin wood because I haven't seen any 6" to 6x8" adapters. There are lots of 5 1/4" and 6 1/2" to 6x8 plates though.

Yeah, this is pretty standard when you have power and audio signals together. I have low level static with my iPod too, but I only hear it on soft songs turned up higher. I'd like to know what the iPod integration kit is? Maybe the Crutchfield thing works too.

How long have you had the Icons? I put them on 3 1/2 weeks ago and they were awesome at first. Then 2 weeks later they started to streak minor hairline streaks that are getting worse. I'm very disappointed because they weren't cheap. I live in Oregon and winter here means rain most days.
